Onanuga conveniently left out the fact that Obasanjo endorsed Buhari against Jonathan in 2015 and he (Buhari) won. I get that it would not have suited his narrative.

Tinubu and the PDP govs who decamped to APC won Buhari that election. Obasanjo’s endorsement fo Buhari had no impact on that election. For a former President, the man has zero political clout and it is amusing.

Obasanjo is wise. Nigeria's lopsided political structure warranted zoning of the presidency between the north and the south, because without zoning, no presidential candidate from the south can win Nigeria's presidential election if northern region supports a northern presidential candidate.
It's the turn of the SE to produce a president for Nigeria. But Tinubu the ex Drug baron wants to consign zoning to the history books. And if a northerner wins in 2023, Tinubu will resurrect his Oduduwa Republic agitators.

The drug lord candidate of apc went to Abeokuta to beg OBJ for endorsement few weeks ago with 2 bullion vans but OBJ is a man of principle.
There is no doubt that OBJ is the greatest Nigerian alive today and his blessing means a lot.
