Very good story you just gave there,
but come to think of it,not all guys would react the way you did,some would go on to say 'hi'
and maybe have a little chat with the girl.I think it solely depend on one's personal exposure really.
But it sort of backfired to you,cause its like your feeling bad about it.


Obviously still feeling bad about it. I doubt if she will try that with a guy anytime soon.

Also, I over assumed her personality, based on my immediate environment.

Just some combination of poor responses from my end culminating into a toasting disaster !

Good advice  but could backfire at times.

Earlier this year, i was in customer care unit in a  Zenith bank branch somewhere on the island. The bank has a tradition of having mirrors all over, and after sometime, I noticed the full round fresh pretty girl on the queue trying to consult a teller.

We both noticed each other after some time and we kept having our eyes locked on each other.

She finished before me and then she walked towards the customer care unit, and I was 1000% sure that she was coming to see one of the customer care agents.

Only for her to walk straight to me and confidently said "hi", I replied but till now i have no idea of what i said in response.

The she shocked me by telling me straight up that, " I think I am attracted to you"
My response was a disconnected and a bit load " What did you say?"

And she repeated same thing, maybe in another form
My response was a confused silence

The obviously smarter  girl just said, " just joking", with a wide smile said "Nice meeting you" and She stepped out of the bank.

I was completely caught off guard and felt very bad.

Hmmm,reminds me of the girl i met at a eatery of abuja airport. Was waiting for my 4hrs delayed flight and tot 2 jus hangout in the bar. It was geting boring and i tot to leave wen a guy stepped in wit 2 girls and jus immediately the pretier one jus stared at me so i decided 2 get one more botle. We kept staring at each other while she ate and i drank. Sudenly she went 4 her handbag,picked sum chewing gum and walkd up to offer me one. I was dazed! Her guy didnt even notice all this. They left me there but i tracked her and managed 2 giv her my number but couldnt get hers. Her guy gav her close markg all thru. I neva heard from her again. She was headed 4 calabar. I was going to Ebonyi state for youth service in September 2004, I got to Ekene Dili Chukwu park at Jibowu for a night bus and @ the counter  I saw this very beautiful lady but I could not say a word to her because I felt she was far older than I am (I later found out the age difference was just 23months) . So I kept quiet but as fate would have it she came around asking that I take the seat number next to her and that night was the start of a relationship that lasted through service year.
