It is obvious that many reacting to this post did not read it. What house of reps is pushing is inline with best practices as regarding CBN naira redesign policy. They are simply following the law as stated above. Emefiele's reckless actions and impunity needs to be curtailed to restore sanity in our polity. Again those supporting this CBN deadline are too self-centered to see the negative impact it is causing on our economy.

The deadline can never affect Tinubu but you and I. Tinubu just doesn't want anything to infuriate the people any further than they are. It might negatively affect his chances.

The January 31st date should remain sacrosanct .
What need to be done is for them to mandate banks to still accept the old notes as deposits but it can not be used as a legal tender anywhere.

My own is that politicians still have a way to purchase this new note from banks that's why it's scarce to poor people.

Banks too na scammers too.
When they want to load the new money, they will contact the politicians and their urchins (who paid large sum) to be at the ATMs to withdraw all the money so they will use it for vote buying during elections.

Nobody will collect that old naira notes from you after deadline 31st January.

INEC is the most brain behind it. INEC said it will engineer a way to avert vote buying, then end up collaborating with CBN
and the entire idea was manufactured.

Retriction is only on Cash withdrawal but what about mobile transfers?

what made you think they won't buy votes by transfering money to people bank accounts before and after they vote if they are really desperate to buy votes?

Go to different atm machines they aren’t working n even if some are working u can only withdraw 20k per day

As at yesterday the bank gave us a full brick of old N500 notes while their ATMs are not even dispensing at all. I really don't know where they want us to get the new notes that are not in circulation undecided

They gave out old notes n some people still believe it is tinubu that it will affect

Oga no citizen is suffering because of New notes, deposit all your old notes in the bank, visit the nearest POS vendor and get the new notes, it's that simple. Banks prefer giving out new notes to POS operators than loading them in their ATM machine because they make more profits via POS services (words from an insider)
