Nigerians never learn , anybody that has over 1 million dollars will hardly be ever affected by bad governance , this is how they thought by voting Buhari Diezani will suffer but today Diezani is living good at Knightsbridge while most Nigerians suffer ...I warned against supporting nonsense currency swap but short sighted fools said it was needed to make Tinubu suffer ๐Ÿ˜… but today it's the masses suffering

the tears havent started flowing. its just the beginning

Let truth be told.It is Tinubu and other corrupt politicians that are suffering it the most. The masses will only suffer it or feel it in the short run.But Tinubu and other money bag politicians will suffer it in the long run, which is the ultimate aim of the policy.
Kudos to Emafiele for showing them pepper.

how will the masses only suffer it or feel it in the short run? are the masses supposed to suffer to have access to their own monies at all? is there any constitutional justification for it?

how long is "short run"? do you pay school fees or have dependents or you still a dependent?

how is the job function of emefiele to make tinubu and other money bag politicians suffer? how will they suffer in the long run?

How do you know that anyone buried billions?
What is the source?

Isn't that why CBN is making this policy in the first place? Seems you haven't realized how fantastically corrupt this our current class of politicians are... Politicians that hoarded palliatives meant for 200million people majority of whom are poor people who sacrificed their daily hustle in order to obey the lockdown!!! Nothing else surprises me in this country

Just last weekend, CBN said
"As of October, more than 80% of the 3.2 trillion naira ($7.2 billion) in circulation in Nigeria was in private hands, but 75% of that has now (ONLY NOW) been deposited with financial institutions.

https://www.ctinsider.com/news/article/nigeria-s-push-for-redesigned-currency-creates-17753203.php

Did you see? A whopping 80%

Even without him saying so, didn't you see SEVERAL videos of spoilt old money that were only brought out to beat the deadline?

Well, in the video below, these abokis are lamenting that their Oga who doesn't even pay them salary on time has this amount money let alone in physical cash. They also said there are other trailer loads.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIicRA5O_F8

And mind you, money only get spoilt like this for lack of ventilation. If this much could spoil, you can imagine the amount we're not privileged to see, which is predominantly the ones they made sure to store in ventilated rooms.

Yet another instance:

Another one still:

This also:

I also saw a similar video (different from) to this last one above, where the bundles were wrapped with OCEANIC BANK paper wrapper. Oceanic bank that folded several years ago

I fear who know fear Naija politicians.

Truth is that the CBN meant well by making these 2 naira policies. Only that the plan wasn't well executed for optimal results.CBN should've made enough new money available beforehand, and stood by their deadline. Awareness was poor too. It's biggest challenge though is how badly the Banks sabotaged it

You mean the artificial scarcity created by the bank staffs abi

Naira that they sell in parties and on the streets, the banks just wan cash out ni

I don't think there's ever a place where currency changing or swapping should be a problem

Your political class are the ones making it look like that.
