You always spew thrash. Currency redesign comes with gains & pains. Which party is in power that didn't plan for adequate new Currency distribution before implementation? Didn't you vote buhari last time? An urchin will never disappoint

If you have sense, you should know this is not about party. And even if the ruling party did not plan well and Nigerians are now suffering, is it not sensible to halt the policy for proper planning? Why exactly must the policy be rushed? Why are opposition candidates insisting that the deadline must not be extended despite the sufferings Nigerians are going through?

Obi is the true dullard.

Imagine coming up with this trash after Buhari and his team have realized their failure and are trying to save face by shifting blame to Emefiele.

I will say it over and over again, NEVER trust a smooth talker.

Fool , just this month past , the bank has raked over 10k from me just by using their app to transfer funds for payments for virtually everything.

They want to be the unwanted middle men in every transaction .

Why can't you fools see that this only benefits the banks and no one else.
Leave them...they will soon realise the weight of bank transfers on their fragile economyundecided

This is not a little inconvenience, and it won't last a few weeks. It will last for years.

Our weakening naira is not caused by one single factor.

You can't improve the naira by merely redesigning it, or making it truly scarce.

There are other things bedeviling our naira. One is the fact that we import nearly all of our goods.

So, even if you redesign the naira and implement a huge cashless economy, nothing will improve until we start producing to meet up with our huge importation so as to drastically reduce or even eliminate out trade deficit.

Our governments are fond of implementing great ideas in a shabby manner.

Take for example, the fuel subsidy removal plan by GEJ. Unemployment was high, poverty was high, and yet you think fuel subsidy removal will work. Fuel subsidy removal is great, but it would make fuel more expensive. It is more of a curse than a blessing for a weak economy, and it would make it even worse.

The same thing with the border closure by Buhari. It was a great plan. But you had not sort the problem of food inflation. That is like planning to throw more people into poverty, which was what eventually happened. Poverty increased.

Our presidents always have good intentions, but poor planning always ruin their intentions and make them look incompetent.

You people always bring US or EU as if we are in the same level. What part of too much money is in circulation don't you people understand? If you want to pay for something use your card. We know that people are suffering, the fact is they will always suffer in any time of reform. It could have been done in a better way I believe that however, we need to make the naira a bit stronger.

Use debit card to make payments

Cash should be used only for little transactions

A central bank should have control of money supply to keep exchange rate reasonable

CBN policy is good all transactions should be done by Card via POS terminal or by bank transfer

This stops kidnapping and theft and also ensures tax compliance

Printing of excessive cash for circulation is evil

There is no place in the world where people can pay or withdraw millions over the counter, it's done by bank transfer for tax and money laundering reasons
Since yesterday I did transaction with union bank atm service was bad still yet the debited me

How does controlling money supply keep exchange rate reasonable?

How is CBN policy is good and how can all transactions should be done by Card via POS terminal or by bank transfer? Going by this, How will children buy snacks in schools?

How is Printing of excessive cash for circulation is evil? Is making cash scarce good?

Is it the job of cbn to stop kidnapping and theft?

If you don't want the banks to be the middlemen for all of your money transactions, put your monies under your bed, then buy a pigeon that will be flying your naira notes to your business associates. Do banks look like charity organisations that will be giving you safekeeping for your money, giving you the ease of doing business, all at no costs?

You sound like a fool, then turn around to label someone a fool!

Have you ever wondered how much it would cost you to travel to the seller and pay in cash, how armed robbers used to attack people and steal their money?
If banks don't make money of you how do you think another person will patronize in your own.
All you need to do is to work harder to avoid this type of complain.

Because he knows better. Obi is as daft as Bubu. Redesigning is not a bad thing but making it unavailable is the issue. Nobody is criticising the redesigning.

When you redesign without making it available to the populace makes you a stup*d assho*e.

Anyone that supports this daft Emefiele is an enemy of the masses. Obi is just another daft fellow who wants to look good to his gullible followers. Only a fool will not see the huge gap in this redesigning.

Then you forgot the issue of network which I believe is probably the biggest issue hampering wider uptake and acceptance of the e-platforms.

I'm all for the cashless policy but I think the needed infrastructure must be put in place

How is the inability of Nigerians to have access to their cash "little inconvenience"?

Why should nigerians be made to suffer the inconvenience of not having access to their funds to rescue the country? Is there constitutional provision for that?

Who are those "rescuing" the country? Is it buhari and emefiele? Do they deserve to be president and CBN governor? Don't we need to rescue nigeria from such people?

When did it become the responsibility of CBN to prevent vote buying?
