Yul also addressed the ongoing discussion about the ownership of Lagos. He stated that Lagos is a Yoruba state in Yoruba land, and it is wrong to claim that it is a no man’s land.

He used the example of Anambra state, which is an Igbo land, and pointed out that it would be inappropriate for someone to come and claim it as a no man’s land.
