Expect the dunce bald CBN mumu that brought hardship to Nigerians to speak on Monday, in a country that is well organized he should be in jail now.
Buhari said CBN should release old 200 naira. How many of that have you seen in circulation. You can't beat a con man when playing poker.

That is their own biz.

All I know is that Peter Obi will reclaim his mandate.

He won with great margin in Lagos, Imo, Rivers, Plateau, Edo, Taraba.
Tinubu was heavily defeated in Lagos, Abuja, Osun , Kaduna, Katsina, Nasarawa, Kano etc these were supposed to be his strong holds. So i wonder where he won these election from?

Tinubu already sailing in Aso Rock and Our man will spend he's 8yrs. Ur Onyara Obi will get relegate like Atiku. Nigeria isn't for unknown gunmen

The aim of changing the currency was not defeated.

Because if Tinubu was able to buy votes, obi won't even have a case, because many people would have sold their votes.

But Tinubu decided to buy over Inec on impromptu that they they didn't even got enough time to plan out their rigging strategy.

This election is the most botched rigging in the history of Nigeria, evidences everywhere.

Buhari has tried his best.

u better dnt kill yourself on top of election. Move on. Tinubu is the President

FG and our leaders don't obey the court of law...

How do you think a common man will also obey it?

The law is almost useless in this nation.

The current president is not aware of anything, the incoming president the people are still unaware of.

No, nobody is using the old naira notes.

Unless it's 200naira
I have spent up to 300k old notes today and I still have 400k left
Re: Are People Using Old Naira Notes In Your Area? by Celly2020: 11:40am On Mar 05, 2023
I collected it in my shop yesterday, but to my greatest surprise, when I went to use it and buy things no body accept it. I don't know if I have entered one chance bus oooo.

Possibly, but not totally nonsensical.
A Rivers state politician was arrested a day prior to election with $500k in cash in his car, with names of potential recipents. Why subject Nigerians to needless hardship when the very people whom the new measure was meant to target treat the Naira as a tissue paper? Think about this carefully. Connect the dots and you will realize how absurd the whole policy was.

What's stopping the CBN all this while from making the new notes available abundantly?

Do you have evidence the old notes have all been destroyed?

CBN governor said it, true or lies, I know not.

as for your first question, I suspect their trying to reduce money in circulation, Curb inflation and strengthen the naira, also maybe Curb criminality.

but To strengthening the naira ultimately, we need to earn more forex, and that will be possible when we start producing more than we're importing

you were supporting that policy thinking it will affect Tinubu your nightmare cheesy
It affected him big time. If the policy was not in place, Baba blue would have paid enough boots on ground to give him the votes that would match the manufactured votes from the Indian and Chinese IT hacking firms. He wouldn't have had to result to the nuclear option of paying lazy unimaginative Nigerian public officials to change votes for him in INEC.
Buhari gave him a master stroke fatality, and Baba blue is yet to recover from it.

CBN and banks must comply with the judgement

Hmmm well all these drama was brought by apc government, it's left for same wicked government to direct banks to release those trillions of old naira notes they collected and remove that 20000 naira withdrawal limit with these money will come back into circulation while they print the new naira

If you understand the concept of cashlessness you will get that
Are we to say there is no money if cashlessness is achieved?

Hmm, that means Nigerians don't know how our government works.

Supreme Court has the final say, not the executive branch
A political court has no final say oga. The Supreme Court does not have any right on monetary policy. It is exclusive list. The CBN do not have a right to declare the End date of the old naira note. CBN will unlikely release the old notes in his possession. The worst is you can continue to use the old notes but once it enters the bank it is no longer coming out.

There is a process. The Supreme Court judgment is between the parties that went to Court, which are the governors and the FG. Now, naira restriction is between the CBN and the FG.

So the FG, not the CBN, is to comply by instructing the CBN to discontinue the policy. Then the CBN will instruct the banks.

All of this will play out by Monday to Tuesday.
You genuinely belive this so-called proccess? You think this whole thing wasn't carefully designed to serve a purpose? Spoiler: it has.

People in the rural communities are still using the old notes. Especially in the northern communities. To them all they need is a means of exchange for goods and services because they are majorly outside the banking system. Some are even trading with CFA.

My wife went to the market at Ogba in Lagos yesterday and the old notes were being rejected. She had to do series of bank transfers even to the smallest items.

If you have the situation of a greedy silly immature man who wants something, you won't give him, what do you do?

You can either

*A: Give him what he wants

*B: fight him till you end up in a Mexican standoff

Or

*C: You give him more than he can handle, until the weight of the Greek gift buries him.

Most of you Obi supporters speak and act unintelligently. You wonโ€™t do a proper study before you make insensible comments. How did Tinubu lose with large margin in Katsina, Kaduan, Lagos, Kano? Even though lost in those states, he never lost with wide margin.
