When Igbo people overwhelmingly
voted for President Obasanjo, a
Yoruba man, problem no dey o.
Before then, Igbo people supported
Obasanjo against Alex Ekwueme in
the primaries, nobody complain.
We gave President Yar'Adua, a
Northerner, majority votes in the
south east even against our own
Ojukwu who was on the ballot,
problem no dey o.
President Goodluck Jonathan wasn't
an Igbo man, he wasn't from the east,
Igbo votes for him in the East were
undeniable.
Last elections, Atiku, a Northerner,
swept the votes in the South east,
even the SS votes weren't that
decisive.
After all those years of ignoring their
own tribesmen on the ballot, even the
legendary Odumegwu Ojukwu, Igbo
people finally saw Peter Obi and
checked him out and said "ha, this
one is good enough"
That's when suddenly they are being
accused of tribalism. Suddenly it is

But when we were ignoring our own

Bros no be everybody get ur kind of conscience if I tell you wetin I see and hear from my colleagues even those God use me to frequently bless just because they won Lagos in the presidential election you might think otherwise if you dont have the spirit of God, unfortunately for them I recorded some of their ...for future refrence, how I wish every one could just move on and not judge wonderful people by few unguarded elements, I even bless them more now than previous...Never pray to flashback on how I felt then.

How can an Igbo man be a baale in Yoruba land? Who gave him the title in the first place? Who the baale help? πŸ₯±πŸ₯±

All this gra-gra won't stop people who want genuine change in Lagos from voting for GRV.

It will be interesting to see the person who will stop that guy from assuming the office of the governor if he wins the governor of Lagos. I don't think he will win though 😌😌😌

My guy if Chinedu do mistake win, we go impeach am before he finish his 1st week in office.

Why did they give him the Baale title in the first place?Yoruba elites in Lagos led by Tinubu and his boys are part of the problem. They are dumb neoliberal capitalists. They caused a lot of the ripple effects.

They exploited the greed of the okoros now the okoros are gonna pay for their greed.

Part of Chinedu's 100 days in office,

He said Babaloja and Iyaloja would no longer be appointment of local Kings, but market people selecting themselves

Now this is an insult to any Yoruba Monarch

So Oba of Lagos would no longer coronate his own Iyaloja and Babaloja chiefs under markets in his own territory

.
The last time I checked the iyaloja of Lagos has becoming lineage title of the Tinubu's, whereas every other Yoruba states anybody can be iyaloja regardless of your family lineage, religion or party affiliation so far you are nominated by the market excos. Also, you must have a shop in the market.
So, if the guy said he wants to give power to the people to nominate there leader, that's the right call.

That is a federal University. Anybody can be employed. Federal University Oye Ekiti employed over 500 of Igbos and more when an Igbo man is being appointed as the VC

Because they refused to vote for Bobo Chicago and his house boy. The title is more worthless than the paper it was printed on.

There are more important issues at hand.

Men with balls will reject these useless titles that have no impact on a man’s life, just useless titles even for the locals what do you do as β€œbale”. Yorubas are so petty while igbos are easily deceived a brag a lot while discrediting others efforts, useless country people dominated by poor fools and bigots. Spits

Yorubas are the most tribalistic set of people in Nigeria....

I still keep wondering why they think that they are in competition with Igbos....

The baale title in Yorubaland is strictly reserved for indigenes and they (baales) are the first point of call for disputes or conflict resolution before the matter gets to the higher hierarchy which is Obas.. So the question here is how did an Igbo man get baale title on Yoruba soil?
The Igbo man has contributed his quota in community development hence deserves the title. Now run along.

Lmao. Asiwaju Ajoji means "the first stranger" in Yoruba. It's sort of a subtle message to remind him that no matter what he is still a stranger in the end. But he is the first stranger and they will recognize him based on that.
Yeah bro. I understand now.

There is nothing wrong with that. Asiwaju Ajoji should be good enough for us.
