In addition to human intervention to ensure order in this forum, I propose implementing a reputation system based on a member's length of registration and number of upvotes/likes received. This system will encourage members to behave appropriately and avoid actions that could result in a ban. Furthermore, comments on a post should be arranged with highly reputable members commenting first, followed by comments with high upvotes, not based on the time the comment was made. This will help to eliminate the presence of online beggars and pornography posters.

I know how Nairaland politics section is because it serves as the unifying section for the forum and Nigeria at large. To this end, it requires active 24/7 moderation.

Prior to this time, I noticed the moderation is quite poor at night (Nigerian time). A lot of trolls and spammers take advantage of the poor night moderation to edit their standard comments made in the day to reflect their deceptive comments at night.

As an all-inclusive forum and for the benefit of many users, especially those based abroad and few Nigerian-based that browse at night, I would work hand-in-hand, especially at night, to complement the effort of the existing mods to completely eradicate the shady nature.

In terms of experience, to be fair, I've not overseen the affairs of a forum as large as Nairaland before. But, if it will count, I've served as a top admin of a famous Facebook group with over 180k members before and admin of over 10 active WhatsApp groups.

To this end, I humbly apply for the post of the Politics Section Moderator.

Are you not the one pushing one propaganda about Igbo tribe not being a major tribe but now a minor tribe which has been relegated by one tribe like that(I can't remember the name now) in Nigeria anymore?
