I love this type of thread.

We'll see our men and women reasoning.

Oh...the peace. No tribes, no genders, no social status; just brains.

Well, in my honest opinion, I think it's B, with least weight and volume. cheesy

Is volume not directly proportional to weight? Stop arguing blindly
Shame no dey catch you as you dey so? Google is your friend.

Hollow objects don't submerge
what if the Hollow object has a hole on top and bottom.

B

Archimedes principle: Weight of object immersed equals weight of liquid displaced.

B has negligible weight, occupying negligible space in the cup, hence more water in the cup.

#Secondary school physics#
of you follow that Archimedes principle, you'll know you're wrong......look at the level of the water, it's all same. So, no cup has more water than the other and the weight of each object dropped in the cups are same.

60% of people will fail this!
Which of the Glass has more water?
A?
B?
C?
D?
no cup has more water than the other and each object dropped in cups has same weight.

cool

C : displaced more water as the heaviest object

The volume measurements on all cups remains the same

Verdict: each cup has same water volume

B : displaced less water
C : displaced more water

.
if the some object displace more water than the other, why is the water level in the cups the same?

Chief you are also wrong. The principle refers to volume (m³). Not weight.

PatrickOkunima:

What you wrote there is not Archimedes principle. According to Archimede's principles, when an object is immersed in a fluid (liquid or gas), it experiences a loss in weight equal to the mass of the liquid displaced.

Is C a Hollow object?

How you take know say na hollow?

Answer is B, a paper clip has zero or no weight. Glass B is the closest to the truest level of water

Did you see volume on the screenshot or you know better than ScienceDirect?

The mentions I got here is a reflection of the rot in our educational system. Most of you do not understand what you were taught in school. It's really unfortunate.

No.

Volume depends on Space. The larger space occupied, the larger the volume.

Weight depends on Mass. More mass = More weight.

Tell us the answer then since Archimedes' principle doesn't apply to it.
it doesn't bro.. acrchimedes is only talking about weight or objects in water and in air.. just like when you're fetching water.. trust me I've known it since js1.. credits to my bro. This question is about volume and not weight thanks.. im just saying it's the one with clip but not Archimedes
