not smart at all. If all have no water then none has more or less water and so the question is wrong but we have to trust the question isn't wrong. Eraser can sink(though you have no proof it is an eraser). Since all the glasses of water maintain same level of water, the one with least displaced volume has more water and I take that to be Glass B - the one with an office pin.

Don’t know the weight of each of the objects so can’t say. It is evident from the content of the water level through all the samples! It is possible all the objects have the same Weight as well as Mass!

That can’t be correct because weight of the object immersed may not necessarily equal the weight of liquid displaced. The implication of your statement is that an extremely dense/heavy, but small object can displace more liquid than a much bigger but lighter object, which is not true.

You’d be right if you were talking of ‘volume’ instead of ‘weight’. And that wouldn’t require stating the Archimedes’ Principle at all.

Bros if the weight of fluid displaced is not equal to the weight of the object you in any instances and you can prove this. You would win noble price for physics

Lol, you only know the law but you don't know it's application.

That's simply Archimedes.
An object will displace water of its own weight. This means if the weight of the object is 2g, 2g which also equals to 2mls of water, will be displaced. (i.e the water level will rise by 2mls when a 2g object is dropped in it)

Don't argue what you have no idea about. There's a lot of difference. He said, mass of the object = mass of liquid displaced. Whereas, Archimedes states that the loss of weight the object experiences is equal to the mass of liquid displaced. I'll explain. If an object weighs 10KG. For instance, it's weight drops to 9KG when immersed in a fluid, it only loses 1KG. The 1KG it loses is the mass of the displaced fluid, not 10KG.

I do not even think Archimede's principle applies in this case.... I could be proven wrong though.
We should be more concerned about the surface areas of the immersed objects than their weights.

B .... common sense tells me the smallest object submerged displaces the least water. If each object is taken out then the water level of Glass B will drop the least making it the one with the most water.

Following Archimedes principle, you have to know the weight of each items in those glass.

Anyway, looking at the face value of those items, you are very correct because the paper clip has less weight compare to others.

However it may not be the case if for example the wristwatch, pair of scissors are just paper image/picture mirrored into the water.

Unless we are physically present to see the nature, structure and composition of all the items in the glasses, it's very unscientific to decide which of the glasses has more water.

People saying Archimedes does not even know the practical form.. Archimedes does not apply to this at all..
