Dr Livy Uzoukwu has taken the petition against INEC and the Shettima's purported withdrawal very personal.

The angle at which it is right now is one that has boxed both INEC and APC into an unpleasant legal corner.

The APC are alleging that the withdrawal letter was dated July 6th but delivered to INEC on July 15th.

On the other hand, INEC is insisting that the letter was dated July 6th but was received on the 13th.

Below is a copy of the withdrawal notice by Shettima for context.

The argument from Dr Livy (LP SAN) is that, "Anyone can write a notice of withdrawal to INEC but leave it at home for as long as they want, but until the letter is in their hands and stamped as received, INEC can’t say they received it earlier or attempt to backdate that withdrawal".

Long and short, Shettima has been found wanting for double nomination. A clear infraction against the new electoral act. He had initially been nominated as a Senator for Borno Central, yet Tinubu nominated him for VP.

In order to cover this mess, a letter has allegedly beeen concocted and then back dated to 6th July in order for them to further an argument in court.

We wait eagerly to see how this pans out in court as proceedings begins soon.

Lol.

Apc and INEC are more like one party in this petition.

So why do you think they won't find common ground about Shettima's double nomination

Btw, not even a source to back this up

Shetima was nominated while he was still vying for senator.
Anyways double nominations is double nomination. Either on 13th or on 15th, it is against the electoral law.

And where is the common ground

The only common ground known to law is that he has been found wanting for double nomination. A clear infraction against the new electoral act.

Both him and his principal will be sent packing

When did INEC receive the nomination letter/form of the VP candidate, is is after 15th July or before 15th July?
In law until the nomination forms get to INEC such candidate is not back by law.
If the VP nomination gets to INEC let’s say 16th of July then there’s no case of double nomination.

You must think that the court is APC/Tinubu WhatsApp group.

That variation in date alone shows APC and INEC are lying.

Na God just wan expose them sha. If not why couldn’t they meet and put heads together and have a common response and unified presentation?

Now APC is saying they delivered Shettima’s letter on the 16th while INEC is saying that they received the letter before it was even delivered. Miraculous!

I don’t think Nigeria will survive it if the courts close their eyes to all these atrocities and say Tinubu won the election because the only reason this country is not flowing in blood right now is because we are hoping on the courts to do the right thing.

If the courts eventually show that they are also part of the rot, then Nigerians will not be blamed if they resort to self help.

Until the nomination forms get to INEC, you can call it double nomination because he’s name is not yet on the contestant’s list. Remember Masari was the name submitted first and as at that 15/7/22 is still the name INEC know as the VP candidate.

it doesn't matter he was nominated twice, he was nominated as senator and he was also nominated as VP. INEC still have the two nominations with them.

They had to forge a letter of withdrawal to clear Osama from the double nomination accusation. Now they are contradicting themselves over the date when the non-existent letter was received by INEC lol.
Lies upon lies upon lies need to be covered by more and more lies. How long does APC and INEC think they can keep this up?
It's getting ridiculous lol
