OP you should know that there are special previleges attached to being a citizen and a passport bearer of a country. No country is under strict obligation to launch multi billion search operation for illegal migrants, but they are under strict obligation to serve and protect their citizens! Now look at this at this context, it's a lost to the country to lose tax payers especially on those who have provided jobs and a steady inflow of income to the country's economy. The second pic of the illegal immigrants on the other hand, while it's quite unfortunate on the demise and I sympathise with them, it becomes a very serious liability for any country to accommodate them. That's why I'm a big advocate for legal migration, there's nothing much from migrating illegally. If it was those days many people have made it who have migrated illegally but these days wit the rate at which companies are monitored by the government and everybody's data in captured, taking in undocumented workers may end the company losing their licence to operate and even a very heavy fine. That's why any country you go to, to look for job, they ask for all your legal documents to prove you're not in the country illegally. Most of you making responses on this thread are very stupid and don't really understand how life functions. You call them illegal immigrants because you are not in their story. You don't know the wars these guys fight everyday. Was life fair to them and they decided to enter the ocean daring the consequences? Do you think they don't know what the challenges are before embarking on such mission? The irony of it is that the life and destiny of these guys may have been stolen and damaged by the actions of these rich lost people. I don't want to call them fools. If you know how a capitalist world functions, you will understand why so many people remain poor no matter the effort they put in. Most of you poor black folks don't know you are poor because these so called Rich Guys have rigged the system to make sure you always remain poor. Reason why People like Tinubu and Atiku are worth Billions and Billions of dollars but 70 million Nigerians are in abject poverty. And yet you praise your oppressors. These so called Rich guys were willing to pay 250,000 dollars each to go and see a ship lost 100 years ago but will never spend a dime to help the poor. Whoever you are reading this, pray that you are not in any situation whereby the only hope for you is to travel deserts and try to cross by an Ocean. I think it's not just about being rich. It's the level of impact that they commanded. Our hitherto migrants weren't making significant positive impact and that's why they were perceived as nuisance, even though they were invited/uninvited wedding guests. It got me thinking as to what problem I am solving or born to slove in this world. Unmet need of people can I help to meet. RIP to the dead. 4 Likes |
