Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Ireireire: 11:22am On Aug 23, 2021
Good morning sisters, I am new here but would like your opinions about these. Please I would like to know if any one has had an ectopic pregnancy, lost a tube and proceeded to do ivf? I am asking because I had a child five years ago but during delivery the doctor noticed a little bulge at my pubic area when I was 8cm dilated, she suggested an emergency CS. During the Cs she said she found two small fibroids that obstructed the pathway for the cs. Well to cut the story short I had two exlaps surgeries the following September and October to remove abscesses that almost took my life. Last year I had an ectopic pregnancy exactly a month after HSG which showed patent tubes, thereby lost a tube. I haven’t gone to the hospital ever since but I am thinking of going straight for ivf instead to trying to work on the remaining tube. I just want to know of other experiences. Thank you

Beautifulsenora:
Hello everyone, I hope we are all doing well, please I want to know if the COQ10 ubiquinone is just as good as the ubiquinol, Ubiquinol seem to be very scarce, expensive and not in higher doses I have been combining both forms as I cant find the ubiquinol in higher dose. 400mg of ubiquinone and 100mg of ubiquinol. Been taking them with vitamin D and prenatals.
Anyone ever used this combination before, please help a sister.
I actually got the higher dose of ubiquinol from a vendor on Jiji though is quite pricey but it’s better and body absorb it more faster than the ubiquinone.

I was among the first batch (PROMO) and God did it for me after 4-IVF. Dr. Joje knows his onions about IVF and will handle you well irrespective if you are on promo or not.

loldar2000:

Visit ministry of Women affairs and Child Education of your state, the process will be given to you.
To prepare your mind, things to do are;
1. Writing an adoption letter to the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry stated above stating the bracket age and sex of the child you want including your financial, mental and environment stability/capability. Also, reasons for adoption (childlessness/sibling
2. A form (a purchased) will be given to you to be signed by your ward chairman, clergy man and local govt chairman.
3. There will be house/home assessment.
4. You will be interviewed
5. You must be a native of that state or be a residence of at least 10years of stay
6. If its couple that adopting, you must be 21years older than the adopted child
7. If single, you must be at least 35years.
8. You will present copies of your birth certificate, Bank statement (1year), marriage certificate, medical fitness, citizenship certificate, national ID Card and passport for both couple

This should help you start. Mind you, it takes time, its a process thing. I wish you the best
Thank you for this information as this is what i now intend to do.
Sadly corruption in Nigeria starts from the grass root .I tried to submit a letter in my state and the clerk boldly said without mincing words that i need to give her “something” for ink before she stamps received and that there are nearly two thousand couples for November screening so i should pay 25k for her to move my name. Why should my name be moved when people came before me and we all need the same thing:Even if she had said 1k i wouldn’t have given her.
With Adoption all we need is someone to love and you would assume the ministry would be falling over themselves to assess us and if found credible give a child as it reduces the burden on them.Yes,i could decide to do the process here in London as they do have children of black heritage and be done with the process in 6-9months but i felt why not from my home country.

Hysteroscopy is just to check the state of ur womb and if there are polyps and adhesions, same process is used to clear it. U are put to sleep so its not painful and u can return home within few hours of waking up so its an outpatient procedure. All the best Dear

No matter where you will use, please try and boost your egg quality at least 3 months before going for IVF, eat clean and go on low carb, take ubiquinol and omega 3, if you are on the big side try and shed off some weight, and may God crown all your efforts with huge success.

Thank you so much ma for the response. Could you please tell us what you did during the cycle, did you include additional procedures like ICSI ?

What I did in this cycle? I took FHPro for women for 5months (4 containers, wasn't consistent at some point), Vit E and metformin for 2months preceding the IVF month. Dr. Joje ask me to add the metformin due to high AMH, it was 11. point something. Ironically, this is the only cycle I didn't take prednisolone as I wasn't giving and also took my bath.

Cost: I paid #500k for the procedure (as a PCOS woman). I was put on low dose Folliculin (150 I.U) all through my stimm. Additional cost was #100k for ICSI and #65k for Test.

A friend of mine Amh test was normal but got additional med of #250k. So, additional cost will depend on your medical history.

My Sis, If the process abroad won't be that stressful, is better you process it there. Adoption here is something else. I applied for mine last year during COVID and I haven't heard from them. on the day of house inspection, 2 women came and was telling us we need to give all those in their offices envelop (about 8 oooo) and that their boss own should be bulky, we did all that and by the time they were leaving, they said is not by inspection but whom we know (I should try to influence it by knowing those in power especially their Commissioner and SSG, can you imagine that.

Hmmh.Adoption is stressful and time consuming everywhere, but abroad it is on merit and you are given a clear itinerary of steps that would lead to your child(ren),s arrival.
See how the average Joe living in Nigeria cannot get things done. What happened to you is exactly the sort of thing i complain about. They play on your vulnerability, imagine then still telling you to try and influence it by knowing someone in power.Think of the things you would have done with the money you put in those envelope.
