In the 1950/60s when we were practicing regional government, remove Lagos, the Western Region was the most advanced and first in everything development (tallest building, first stadium, First TV station in Africa, best Uni and medical college etc all in Ibadan). So Yoruba race (successful trading in Lagos Island) have been doing fine from time immemorial.

And that is why we are able to accommodate extra burden of the population influx streaming into South west region!!!

You must be too poor to travel out of your region of Nigeria, not to talk about affording to buy land in the east.
Other Yoruba people own landed properties in the east.
They vote in general elections in the east. They don't have to travel to Yoruba land or to Lagos to vote. Because Lagos is more urbanised than other states in Nigeria, many of you want us to see Lagos as a sovereign country on its own.
You don't see that Lagos was built with proceeds from crude oil of the Niger Delta region.
