Let's face it, in the hands of either poor or rich 8,000 naira is still the same, for me that's less than 16 liters of fuel.
Its 16liters , for 8k

3k=6lit

Funny country.
Asking the question when the interview is over.
Nigeria's own kind of democracy is by the government and for the government.
As far as the citizens are concerned they visit the restaurant but cannot order anything because there are no waiters.
They pick whatever is placed on the table.

Once again I ask.
Who decided that the palliatives be cash handouts.
Who decided that 500 billion be made available.
Who decided that 8,000 be paid out.
Who decided the program will run for 6 months.

Because these are the questions almost everyone is asking AFTER THE FACT, in the non participatory democracy we run here where the Legislature which is supposed to be the eyes, ears and mouth of the people appear to be blind, deaf and dumb in all situations that concern the people.

Theirs is just to nod like invalids.

Covid 19 was a clear case of how all nations handled issues like this and I could remember vividly how palliatives were a long running issue of debate in Congress. I will not even speak about the UK parliament where that issue still reverberates till today and folks there are still giving account to the British citizens.

Having gone through most of the comments.. some people can just spew rubbish, is it better they don't share the 8k and direct the money to themselves??
Some people will be saying he should use the money for this, use the money for that, have u asked urself what the poor masses will benefit from that??
