All nigerans would have benefited The guy would have show them pepper especially those criminal PHCN and their contractor. The guy worked in Port Harcourt especially on road. You will see person that has something to offer working. Atleast him and Umai is making steps. Others are just collecting allowance |

miekoe: You're encouraging lawlessness. The brazen act of disobeying town planning is why our cities and even infrastructure are in shambles. I read estate managemenr and we borrowed town planning. Victoria Island which was formerly a residential neighborhood is now fully commercial. It now congested as offices have huge commuter traffic. In Festac town, all the children's playgrounds have all been bought and mansions erected om them. The impunity of it all is that no one is persecuted. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

You said it. Why destroy something worth hundreds of millions Naira? Is that not just being wasteful? Just taking ownership and getting rental income could generate revenue for his ministry. Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) destroying manufacturers' products they consider substandard instead of finding a way to to assist manufactures recall and modify or re-purpose it to meet standards. Military destroying vessels they believe to be used for oil theft instead of taking ownership and converting it to good use or auctioning it for revenue. Military blowing up private ("illegal" refineries instead of the government giving them licence to refine fuel legally. Governors demolishing buildings belonging to private people in stead of taking over ownership and auctioning or rent or re-purposing the buildings. Customs destroying goods smuggled in, instead of auctioning or taking ownership. Governors abandoning or demolishing infrastructure built by their predecessor instead of taking ownership and utilising for the good of the state or continuing the projects to completion just as FCT minister is demolishing buildings worth billions within his first month in office. Then we wonder why we are not developing as fast as China or Singapore miekoe: 2 Likes 1 Share |

miekoe: sunnitus: Can you both use your so-called "hard-earned money/cash" to buy land that belongs to another person? If it was an individual, we can say the person fell into a scam, but the builder is a developer. He had been served to discontinue, but he disobeyed because he had been doing it. He relies on using connections to take over the property. Tell me how that developer won't continue like this if they allow the building to stay. The developer will continue to use his connection to make sure he gets what does not belong to him. Even government takes the building from him, he will go to court. You and I know how court cases are in Nigeria. So, the developer will continue to steal land that doesn't belong to him. This is what those developers do. The best way around is to demolish it. The building is gone...he won't try it again. Do you know the number of original owners that have been saved from that developer? Both of you can be a victim in his hand. So, it is not his hard-earned cash or money he is using. No one can earn money legitimately and build on a land that does not belong to him. Finally, I admonish you both to stop using the phrase "hard earner money/cash". Na curse. I will never earn my money in a hard way. Na easy easy....and I will enjoy it till old age. Let's move forward. Let's re-build Nigeria. While rebuilding, we must demolish hindrances. The same is applicable sirs. Do not pity those developers sirs. They are extremely wicked. The government will waste resources fighting them in court if they keep the building. Na tax money FCT government is using as running cost. So, they cannot afford to waste money on such wahala cases. The energy sef...na wahala. The cost of keeping that building will eventually be more in the end for the government; therefore, it is cheaper for the FCT government to demolish the building. On top, the developer will still pay for the cost of moving the bulldozer there, and then other operational costs. Lol. In such cases, the government can easily lock up the developer if he doesn't pay and charge him to court so he can pay around times 10 of the cost of demolishing as a penalty. This will teach developers a big lesson to stop such evil acts. 3 Likes 1 Share |

badman007: We are very not always serious ,as we can't keep to Rules and Regulations - not just in Abuja but all over Nigeria. Remember, the former FTC Minister-El Rufai -had a running battles with most of the National Assembly Members then on the same issues in Abuja- as they encroached on the Public Interest- which means that those that came after him El Rufai, perhaps ,have been compromised! Then, they will be shouting - Wike,Wike! We are not sincere at all,as we ran to Europe and America to obey simple rules but here in Nigeria,we are not just there! God will help Nigeria! |

discusant: Then he should provided documentary evidence stamped and signed by whoever was in office, perhaps with evidence of payment to who or what. You don't put up a multimillion naira edifice based on word of mouth or verbal agreements/approvals. With that he can seek legal redress and he will be vindicated. But I guess not. |

sunnitus: I agree with you completely that the houses were built with hard earned money. But does that preclude the fact that they deployed their hard-earned money foolishly? I don't understand how somebody is told not to do the wrong thing because of the consequence and they still go ahead to do it The price of a plot in these areas run into several millions. How on earth would they pay such huge sums for the wrong thing? |
