As an entrepreneur trying to build something you cannot pay that high for the first 1-2 yrs
Gee64:
The stealing instinct only comes in when you are underpaid.

Most Entrepreneurs don't know this!

I'm not subscribing to this though.

What about the overpaid politicians that are still looting underpaid workers salaries?

These things usually come down to ones fundamental values. He that is faithful with little will be faithful with much. Thieves dont automatically stop stealing when they have stolen a lot of money.

In all, it boils down to a dysfunctional system...

A functional system will detect issues like this almost immediately... but once the system is faulty... that's what you get...

The Nigerian system is so faulty, it will take a miracle to fix...

Just do your job

No one is complaining

But his conscience is complaining. And its just a matter of time, his deeds will be uncovered someday. But wait a minute, is it that your company does not have external auditors. I tell you ,the day they have one that's when all these loopholes will be discovered.

Put a stop on it because very soon you will be caught up in the act and you become a sorry case.

meerahbel I think you know it's widely possible workers/friends/relations who knows you are a nairalanders?
I'm assuming you want to get caught confessing.

Also, they might say nothing but keep tracking your posts.

As a Christian, the advice is to stop stealing. Pray to God for options.
And tell your boss point blank that the load is too much for you. You cannot continue like this as a family man. This will look into it

I'm rlly in support of your crime coz it is definitely a crime if finally caught, but my concern is this:
Handling different portfolios meant for four different and independent offices jst for such little pay, the company itself is very wicked.
You asking them to employ more hands means you hv a good heart coz if you are knee bent to defraud them, u will never come up with the idea of getting more hands.
Anyway, try as much as you can to desist from such temptation coz when u r finally caught, that's when u'l realize dt these private companies are very wicked

Tomorrow you people will start crying that your country is gone. Now we are telling someone to do the right thing. Return all he has stolen and clear his conscience. It's not enough to just stop stealing. He has to put what he has removed back else that guilt would not go. And as long as that guilt remains, it's just a matter of time before he resumes stealing again.

Guilt is an evil thing in the conscience that makes people sin more and more.
The guilty heart contrary to what many people think does not stop you from doing crime, it fuels evil like mad. The guilty heart keeps saying, go do it again and ask God for forgiveness. OK, go do it again and ask for mercy. An unending cycle of sin. Until he is caught and disgraced
The right thing is to stop stealing to free his conscience.

Only a very wise person will see the relevance of your first post on this thread. Wholeheartedly, I concur with you. Until restitutions are made guilt and sin remain. The person quitting the act does not absolve him of blame. He needs to confess his wrongs and risk being sacked or sued or both. The only good thing will be that his burden will be eased and he would have truly repented before God. My suggestion to him is to seek God to show him a way to go about the act of restitution.

If u really want to stop u know what to do. In case u don't know lemme tell u, with ur family, relocate to either Canada or US with d money with u. By doing so u will leave d company and be far from the temptation to embezzle.

But the company should at least be fair. Given all that you do, it is obvious you are underpaid.

Increasing your pay can be an incentive to stop you from stealing from them.

Yes, everybody can tell you to stop but the company should fairly incentivize you.

Kingray10:
You are underpaid, you are doing the job of four people, the company has enough profits to pay you enough for you not to steal from them, yet they refused...

Well, if I am in ur shoes I will ask for salary Increment. And if it's not done to my satisfaction, I will continue what I was doing before..
