Ibadan — A 65 -year old retired soldier, Ayinla Isiaka, is currently telling the Oyo State Police Command his level of involvement in the alleged Inbreeding with his 12-year-old daughter (name withheld), even as, a 23-year-old nursing mother, Bose Lateef, has been arrested for allegedly murdering her seven-month-old baby.

The ex-soldier daughter, a primary four pupil in one of the public schools in Ibadan, was said to have confirmed the defilement to the police in the presence of her father.

Vanguard gathered that the man who was arrested on Saturday was also accused of flirting with his niece who is aged 10.

Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Femi Okanlawon said the suspect had allegedly been having affairs with his daughter right from her primary three.

The PPRO noted that the innocent girl reported to the police at Idi Aro Police Station when she could no longer bear the pains.

The two girls, the police said, had been taken to hospital for medical examinations, saying that it was after the parents of the girl allegedly refused to carry out medical examinations that the police took it up.

The suspect, who claimed he retired from the Nigerian Army in 1980, said he only had canal knowledge of his daughter a couple of times.

Confirming the arrest of the woman that murdered her baby, Okanlawon said it was a man that reported the incident at Sanyo Police Station.

The suspect confessed to the crime.

I doubt his sincerity
He has a hidden agenda of forcing separate development for all ethnic groups and stopping this mistake when it was still early. Ojukwu was right.

PoliticsRe: No More Tribal Attack In Politics Section by 7842I: 9:09pm On Apr 09, 2013
alj harem: very funny. The issue of tribalism on the internet (not only on nairaland) cannot be tackled by mere post, bans and warning. It has to start from the top, likes of Sun newspaper and Odili news. Also with like of Achebe and co inciting the young generations into tribalism, I am sorry but it cannot end, it can only be reduced in moments.

Take this from me. Thanks to Achebe, the progress black have made in years to unite has just been broken again.
The only reason everybody thinks Achebe's book is a great success is because he brought to the fore issues which we all chose to wish away, truths which had been buried away and which had been spreading like ano ulcer, making it impossible for this country to be stagnant at best.

Sadly the same people that hid the truths are still arguing with it, but I agree with you, its a hopeless situation, and a hopeless union pretending to be a nation.
PoliticsRe: Questions I Wanted To Ask Chinua Achebe By Prof Tony Afejuku- by 7842I: 7:07pm On Apr 09, 2013
To the debaters against Achebe and the truth he brought to the table, I ask that you all take a chill pill and sleep. The truth Achebe spoke is the type that washes lies away and cleanses a failing country, but like the ostrich you may keep your heads buried in the sand.

T9ksy: I take it that you must have read his autopsy report hence your decision to persist in typing the same lines we have heard from you guys, umptenth times in gthe past? In that case, post it(autopsy report) here for all to peruse or just STFU.

Just the same way, ibos claim they won an election in yorubaland in 1951 but till date, they still haven't been able to produce the election result which shows clearly that NCNC won but hey, that little matter of lack of proof is not enough to prohibit those sore losers from propagating an unsubstantiated lie.

Yes o, we yorubas love Awo.................oko ibo!!!
I have seen his autopsy report and it says the old fool died of an overdose of rat poison. Bola Ige has the report in his custody and that was why he was strangled after he failed to produce the documents when HID Awolowo sent thugs to pick up the document for destruction.

Your problem should not be Igbos winning an election in 1951, your prayer should be that they dont remember to field an Igbo candidate in Lagos guber election in 2015. They will surely win again.

Who cares how much you love AWO, the Igbos only know one animal that bears that name and its a FROG.

Sunehri_145: Tony Ajekubu should have continue from where Achebe stoped than lamenting on what he (Achebe) wrote in his last book.
All of the people from south west are lamenting about the truth. But the truth will always be bitter.

seanet01: Shut up you hypocrite!
If Your Asunu Asiwere have not been a coward why did he not wrote those nonsense in there was never a country when Great Awolowo was alive?
Arrant Nonsense.
"Why did he not wrote those"
Bad English, Achebe tried his best to cure the world of bad language, see your life?
PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by 7842I: 3:40pm On Apr 09, 2013
T9ksy: Its instructive to note that this "poison story" emanated from the ibo camp and they have been doing their utmost part to give life to this obviously spurious tales probably drummed up by their dumb leaders and elite whom Awo had taught a vital lesson in the last civil war. Reminds me of another lie told by the ibos about the late sage, as in, he started tribalism in the country because he wouldn't permit Zik (an ibo man and the leader of the ibo union) to manage the affairs of the yorubas. However, when asked to produce evidence of zik's success at that particular poll, they all start dancing PALONGO. They had/have no proof but thatnotwithstanding, they still feel its acceptable to go viral with their slanderous story which they cannot substantiate.

Over half a century later, the ibos are still singing the same vacuous song, we have all got accustomed to.

Bottomline is, the more you ibos HATES Awo, the more we yorubas LOVE him and there's sweet F.A, you poor revisionists with twisted and bitter minds can do about it. The least you can do is to keep churning out your dumb stories but rest assurred we yorubas will be here to punch mighty holes in your juvenille mischievousnous.
While I understand your claims that these poison stories were made up and have no substance, you should also note that there is no smoke without fire. If the man died of any other cause apart from rat poison, please provide his autopsy report for all to see. You are free to love him all you want but the fact that he drank rat poison is suggestive of a darker secret which he wanted to hide, I advice you ask more questions from those in the know than engage in blind arguments.

shymexx: Anyone will perform better than the incumbent, to be honest... So, if you've got a vote, please use it wisely without tribal sentiments - and help make Nigeria attain its full potentials in the scheme of things in the world as we move towards a bi-polar world...

All we need is a selfless, educated, and practical leader - who understands the ethos and consciousness of Africa... Someone who can balance the old African way and infuse it in the modern world.. wink
Jonathan can do this, its so easy.

Juan65: But why is Buhari so desperate to return to Aso rock, For Gods sake we are in 21st century and Nigeria is far behind a lot of our African brothers and someone is still thinking of Buhari in this era, enough is enough in this country this is not an autocratic but democratic era, are we to remain in darkness forever we need people that can move this country forward. As for Buhari he has nothing to offer.
He forgot to get his expensive pair of boots when he ran away as Babangida was chasing him away on the coup date. Please you all should vote for him so he can get back and pick up his shoes abeg.
