You have made two very absurd points to absolve your sponsors of the guilt and spread false narratives.
Firstly, it was not the TUC that spearheaded removal of subsidy in 2012. It is the people in government now, headed by Tinubu and Buhari himself that sponsored protests against subsidy removal in 2012.
Secondly, you lied that government was borrowing to pay for subsidy which I find very preposterous. Can you back up your claim with facts cos the government from time immemorial has never borrowed 1 Kobo to pay for subsidy.
Infact nnpc was swapping crude oil for petrol all throughout Buhari's tenure and there was no single report that stated we borrowed money to pay for subsidy.
Furthermore, Tinubu himself came out in his last address to the nation to state that his government saved billions from subsidy removal so where are you getting your misinformation from.

Before you link me to Tinubu, search my comments on this forum.

I despise Tinubu and everything he stands for. Nigeria needs to learn to be objective and discuss issues without being personal.

Nigeria doesn't have enough oil to swap or have you forgotten that Nigeria now produces less than 1 million barrels of oil per day due to government stealing. The Nigerian government was insuring bonds to fund oil importation.

Nigeria's NNPC spent $10 billion on fuel subsidy in 2022

The TUC, labour movement, and interest groups such as. Falana, Ben Bruce, Tinubu, Buhari and co all objected to the removal of Oil Subsidies. It was a public debate which was televised and available (see Attached )

Nigeria currently has $3.7 billion in reserves instead of $35 billion because the government has been mortgaging the reserve to JP Morgan and co to fund the importation and subsidy of refined oil. The funding and subsidy programme is corrupt to the call and both PDP and APC have benefitted from the importation of cheap refined oil.

Subsidy: FG borrowing to import fuel, says minister

The Federal Government has said it sometimes borrows funds to buy petrol as the country continues to incur rising fuel subsidy bills.

The government also confirmed that there was a possibility of global economic recession this year, but stressed that Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves were healthy enough to withstand the shocks.

The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, while speaking during an interview with Arise TV.

In the interview, monitored by our correspondent in Abuja, the minister also stated that the Federal Government at some point had to borrow funds to buy Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, despite the huge subsidy spending on the commodity.

All these rubbish you stated up there just to cover up where you have been busted.
Firstly, if the nations reserve is depleted it is not subsidy but the wastefulness of successive government in this country. You cannot shift goalpost from saying government borrowed to fund subsidy to depletion of foreign reserve.
Secondly, which specific bond did Nigeria issue to fund petrol subsidy and what's the series of the bond I want to know.
Is it Sukuk bond that was used for road construction,Eurobond or FGN series. You think you can come online to spread falsehood to ignorant people and not be put in your place.

Olodo, importing refined oil whether subsidies or not. Nigeria's education has done a bad number on you, you can't reason because Nigeria's limited education has denied you the ability to think critically.

Olodo

The punch clearly states that the government has borrowed to import fuel, go figure out what an international bond is first before you respond, dumbass!!!!

A country that has depleted its reserve is wasteful. Hence where is the savings going to come from? The country has also depleted its income due to oil theft, international debt and public debt ($50 and $120 bn). Nigeria is broke that's why Tinubu removed oil subsidies ..period, he had no choice because no sane bank or country will lend money to a country that spends 97% of it income on servicing debt and recurring expenditure.

Oga, you are not making any sense.

The TUC asked simple questions: where was the money saved and how much do you have there?

They didn't ask for a lengthy sermon.

Why are simple things difficult for you people to understand?

Unfortunately, you are just a foot soldier and cannot answer the question. Your role is just to defend absurdly.
The.money saved has been disbursed between the FG,.States and LG.

All TUC does is collect bribe from the president
