Lagos government has started the removal of shanties and illegal structures at Computer Village, Ikeja.

The Director of Public Affairs, Ministry of Environment, Kunle Adeshina, shared photos from the exercise on his X account Sunday.

He captioned them, "Removal of shanties and illegal structures ongoing at Computer Village, Ikeja on Sunday."

Can those buildings be shanties?

Everything politics. Just because of the controversy surrounding Tinubu's certificates and which people of southeast extraction are fingered, they now carry the vengeance to their business domains.

This bigotry is affecting property businesses in Lagos. Real Estate Developers are having lull in business because south Easterners are shunning buying properties.

Computer village destruction of properties classified as shanties are mere wool pool and deceit.

Better.

Those bush people are hell bent on destroying everywhere. That place use to be a serene residential area before they turned it to scamming market

Xenophobia!!

Igbos should stop developing those glorified slums and come back home. They hold power and we grab their balls on economy.

Prices of goods should skyrocket, let these uncivilized bamboos feel the heat of hardship. 😋😋😎

And you think Nigeria can develop with your type of mindset and bigotry?

You destroy what you have and want to flee or Japa to more organised and less tension free societies.

Instead of ethnic shading, why not advance argument for dissolution of the Union and everybody set free?

Tribalism go kee you dia!

Area boys are now in ikoyi, ikeja and lekki/ajah axis

bt Its illegal structures inside markets. that's the main problem.

The occupants of those shanties are paying daily levies to iyaloja of Lagos.Since government did not provide jobs they provide jobs for themselves.Does sanwo olu want them to go into the crime of snatching phones or even selling fufu phones?

They should go and start paying that "daily levies" to the Iyaloja of their respective villages in Alaigbo ! They have 'developed" Lagos State for us,now is the time for them to go and develop their own villages too !

Whoever wants to go into the business of
"snatching phones or even selling fufu phone" should please go ahead provided he or she is ready for the grave consequences of such actions ! We refuse to be blackmailed or intimidated in our own land;ko le werk !

See this turncoat Lagosian who came to appropriate the political heritage of Lagos in the name of Oduduwa.

Go and develop your state instead of claiming Lagos.

Get your facts right. Corporate entities pay over 85% tax in the state.

Says who?

Do you have data on the daily tickets collected from all these traders by government collection agents on a steady?

Even pure water sellers pay tax daily.

How many Lagosians are employed by the formal sector?

Don't just come to a public forum without facts.

Red flag. Disclaimer. Persona non grata.
This person, known as Faith, a.k.a. Angela, has various accounts for his begging operations with different banking platforms.
He is a serial criminal fraudulent individual, and is here to promote his begging advert scam.
This message should be clear to him. He should go to his church or mosque to beg and stop using different usernames on NAIRALAND to exploit people's compassion.
Faith, better known as Angela Oyom Ubi; you have used over 100 usernames to beg. If you are genuine, you should have been known with one username. Using many is a clear indication you are a fraud.
The way I see it, you'll soon get deliverance from the Devil. Keep thinking you are deceiving people. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed; covered that will not be opened.
The great day of your revelation is at hand. Be expectant, because surely it will come.
That one is not only a beggar, he is also a scammer. Unfortunate being

Lagos state is simply making life unbearable for igbos so that they will all leave in a bid to claim the glory of the state alone. Lagos since far back as 15th century was a cosmopolitan state developed through every nationatiy coming together to build and work. Lagos isnt a development that stemmed out of ethnic ability

I am not igbo and i have never stepped foot on igbo land, but the brazen actions of the yorubas on a consistent basis seems like the yorubas are begging for a war. If we are in a war many of us have said it severally let us know plain amd square

The last time I checked. Every tribes in Nigeria dominates computer village... Stop Playing tribal card here... Go get a life and keep yourself busy

The igbos should be telling the yorubas if they are at war.

Saying Lagos is a no mans land sounds like a statement of war.
