Pharisees were not the political leaders of the day. Pharisees were a religious sect who where the pillars of judiasm and Christ had to call out their religious excesses and deception.

The political leaders where Pontius Pilate the Roman leader and the Jewish ruler of the time King Herod. Not once did the Jesus involve himself with calling out these political leaders. Did they do it? But they were frolicking with the Romans the same way Adeboye frolicks with Politicians.
