My Experience With The Nigerian Police When They See You Using An Iphone by ekeday(m): 5:30pm On Oct 07, 2023
I was escorting my younger brother to Nyanya Park. On my way with Keke, we’re stopped by Nigerian police, and they tell us that they want to search us. On their search, they found nothing, but after seeing me using my iPhone, the other police reached me and collected it from me.
And I asked, Why did you collect it from me? The other police say he knows what I'm into! And I ask him, What am I into? He replied, Yahoo. I just laughed and said, What makes you think I am Yahoo? Is using an iPhone making someone Yahoo? And I told him to give me my phone or show me what in my phone makes you think I am a Yahoo?

The other said he would take us to the station, and that would be the worst! and I told him to let go so that I could ask your officer that told you to embarrass people when they see you using iPhones. I also told him he should show me what he saw on my phone that makes him think I am a criminal, and I told him that I am a blogger and YouTube I am with evidence, so let go to the station.

On your way to the station, the other police officer switched to pigin and said to me, "make we talk am here and settle the case,” and I said, Settle what? Let's go to the station. You have already embarrassed me. Let go, so you should show me what makes you think I am Yahoo, and I will talk to your officer who sent you.

After we reach the station, these police officers begin to fear me because of the confidence I have. I ask to take me to the room, I want to see the officer! After everything, they searched my phone and operated it for almost an hour with some questions, which went:
Who has this phone? I said it was mine.
What did you do for a living? I said I am a blogger, freelancer, YouTuber, and animator.

So after all the questions, the police officer said to the other police that I am not Yahoo and that I should go, and he wrote an apology to me.

But I told the officer to listen; not everyone using an iPhone is a scammer or Yahoo, and if such things happen again, I will make sure that you guys are in trouble, so I give them money. All I was hearing was thank you, sir, and I left the office.

Story end: na October, plan your future and start learning digital skills. Even if it costs $100 to learn, you will get massive returns.

When you reach station you drop money or you no drop money?

You can't go to Nigeria police station make you no drop money even though you are innocent.

I had a funny experience last year December 24, police stopped me at 23 rd festac on my way home to send time with my parent and siblings. I had a laptop bag. Immediately the office notice I had a laptop. I was stopped and they said I was into yahoo, we argued back and forth they took me to their station at the office, I had to call my dad who is a lawyer they finally said I could go, after they searched and found nothing. One even said because I had to Gmail account, it means I am about to start yahoo. Only for Nigeria police they arrest person for crime wey they never commit yet

Before I left, they requested I should drop offering. One even said you don't go to church or hospital empty handed. I had to give them something. I ended up giving them 5k that day

You like like a child...

Nyanya axis doesn't have police embarrassing people anyhow, they can be easily reported at the force Hq....

Secondly, how will be talking this way to our Nigerian police officers that can easily frame you up and have you beg for your life.

Anyway, you ended your story by advertising your hustle..... Good one!

Well that's my experience with Npf, even the 2times I have made use of them(Npf) to arrest 2 guys, one a neighbor when I was at akwa ibom, who leaks(steal) fuel from my gen and also was tapping the light when I on gen, when I confronted him about his theft he wanted to intimidate me, cos I wasn't from their state according to him. The other one was when I had a missing phone and the thief was sending my female contact messages. I mobilised them with cash in both situations. They will tell you they don't have fuel to move and all sort of unreasonable excuses. As if it's not tax payers money they are using to run the stations

I haven't had any dealing with Nigeria police where I didn't path with money ,apart from stop and search sometimes.
Anything that makes you go to there station. You most drop something. Even though na just statement you won write. You go pay for the papers.
