Evolutionism:
The affected E-Hailing drivers should go and join Politics, Oil Bunkery, Scamming, Yahoo Ritualists, Robbery, 419, Drug Trafficking, Human Trafficking, Olosho Business and Pimping.

These Businesses are what sells most in a useless nation like nigeria.

A very useless nation where 90% Of Its Population are Primitive Bvstards.

Your last paragraph πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
So sad, if you can't win them, you join them.

But it was profitable all the while before Tinubu scattered everything. Bolt is mostly taken for convenience but with a tough economy like ours everybody is cutting cost. Consequently, patronage of bolt has reduced. For instance, many car owners no longer drive their personal car to work but use public transport. Many people who usually run generator to power their homes have either reduced and even stopped for a long while Fact check my claims

U are more than correct.
At the end of November will make the Tinubu administration 6 months.
Let's pile up the statistics and give them their results.
But from the preliminary mock results, the report card is almost totally written in red ink.

Was it Tinubu that removed the subsidy? There was no provision for subsidy in 2023 budget effective July 2023 as prepared by Buhari. Tinubu only announced it that subsidy is gone. The economy is biting hard, price of commodities are going up, the govt should do a quick one on transportation to alleviate the suffering of the people. Every State govts should have rolled out buses that will charge insignificant amount to help the populace but our leaders are self centered and don't care at all.

There is no subsidy in the budget, where did he get the funds to return subsidy and keep price constant over the past months?

He made a big policy mistake and attempted a policy somersault to correct the impact, but the damage is largely done.

My concern is,is this the bottom ?
With the stories of woe all over, can we survive if
- There is a further increase in the pump price
- If the discos significantly increase their tariffs ( there is a current subsidy in that sector )
- If dollar nosedives to 1500 by December as some claim

Won't there be mass upheavals ? won't crime skyrocket ? Won't Nigeria become impossible to live in ?
Truth be told,I think the current stability is artificial and the tension on the strings holding it in place is about to make it break.

The worse thing is that people wouldn't troop violently on the street to protest because if it happens in Osun or Ogun or Lagos state, one Omoluabi would protest that they want to bring their brother in Aso Rock down. This is what happened for 8 years of Buhari's rule, incompetence and insecurity and yet not even one single state in the North was it mentioned there was an upheaval. Nigeria is one caged unworkable entity and it is only when the hunger is rampant and imminent, unbearable to the Holocaust level that would men troop to the street; irrespective of religious, party or ethnic affiliation to demand a dismantling of this animals at the helm. The suffering is too much and everybody is quiet

Aptly said!!

Imagine...just close your eyes and imagine that the President from 2015 down till now were from either the South East or South South...they would have used protests, blackmailing and propaganda to destroy the person like they did to GEJ.

But since it is them Core North and South West who claim to be the holders of Nigeria were there... everywhere is quiet.

Imagine a country where a South Easterner of South Southerner is in charge of affairs...it would be paradise. Goodluck Jonathan is a pure case study!

Fulanis, Hausas and Yorubas have proven that they are unfit to lead a nation!!

It depends on the type of car you ride.
If you acquire a car with small engine , you have no problem.

Most of the people telling stories here don't even own a car.

Keep quiet bro.
200/ liter to 640 /liter is a whole lot and will be felt by everyone. Small engine or not.

It's not subsidy removal that is the problem, it's the high commission being collected by greedy Uber/bolt.

Okada riders/ Keke riders/ commercial bus drivers are making money daily.

And yes, i do have a car which i use to travel to and fro to do field work.'

Uber/Bolt is not scalable to use as a full time job a side hustle gig work is good.
