We can't say government should not do their work because it's affecting our businesses. On the long run, we'll all benefit from the policy changes.

Endure for now. Even I am largely affected by the policies, but it's best they do those things now, so we don't go completely bankrupt in the near future.

The essence of these policies is to kill importation business and make Nigeria a production country.
Your business is not the only business that is dying, many business that depends on dollar has closed down and more will close too.

Time is coming when Naira will hit 5000 to a dollar. When this happens, foreign products will be difficult to purchase and we will have no choice but to buy made in Nigeria goods cos even a pair of foreign pants will be so expensive that only politicians can afford it while the rest of us will wear plantain leaves.

It's so annoying that the average secondary school student knows the dollar to naira exchange rate, that shows how we depend so much on the dollar and killing our own naira.
Until we patronize our own companies, we can't grow the economy, this painful stage is called the transition stage from foreign to local, the govt is not the problem but the time it takes Nigerians to accept the Nigerian goods will determine how long the pain will last.

In the next five years, we will fully accept our own economy and in the next ten years, we will have an economy that will beat France and Germany cos we have the market already.

so what do we produce in our country that u need us to priortize buying? Whats the name of Nigerian phone that u are producing?

Blind economics while the government loots your future and the future of Nigeria away have you forgotten no country is an island everyphone or machine has parts imported from another country no country can produce all the parts of a phone even china phones imports some parts else where so if one dollar is N5000 how are going to import parts of the phone that it won't still end up getting expensive what's worse Nigerians will even over hike the price due to a typical Nigerians greedy nature.my brother wakeup to reality

Stop writing trash here. The government targets certain products and imposes heavy duties on them to discourage people from importing them.

BTW, you are talking about discouraging importation without having stable electricity.
No let me write say you smoke weed this morning. Tinubu is struggling to manage Nigeria's economy.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you have mental problems. Nigeria will produce what? Phones? Even the raw material and fabric to sew common pants comes from China. Don't worry, time will correct your brain.

This is the most annoying thing. If they are serious about buying locally made goods, they must live by example. Ban all MDAs from using cars made outside the country.

Wear clothes (and shoes) whose materials are made in Nigeria like Charles Soludo. A leader is a role model. If you make a criminal your leader, you are only saying that there's nothing wrong with going into criminality as a survival means.

Their useless supporters would soon come for you. They'd say we should discourage import end encourage export and naira would become stronger, as if that's the main cause of fx brouhaha, as if we can produce everything locally. APC administration has lost it and this has nothing to do with hate. Those who voted tinubu are also feeling the heat. Nobody is spared.

Meanwhile, there are many countries who import almost everything yet, their economy remains stronger as ever. Shebi we still get crude oil and agricultural products we we dey export, many developed countries dont have such yet, they're prospering. The problem is corruption. When a corrupt leader is now in power, the situation becomes worse because he will draw his fellows to work with him.

Non of our present leaders and politicians can pull Nigeria out of the woods.
They will come in only to start blaming the previous Govt.
We truly need a new breed of politicians who are not selfish like this generation of politicians.

United States is heavily dependent on Chinese products are aware of that?

Were will people source for money when the dollar is up 5000 naira. Are you aware that dollar is globally accepted for exchange rate. Even the government that borrow is always in dollar rate so how do you intend building an industry when the dollar rate is high. Is the tools required to build an industry readily available in Nigeria.

Which economic model uses this senseless trash you are spewing?

Where are the productive activities, where are the jobs being created and where is the frugality in government spending and appropriation?
