I have a feeling that it was Seyi Tinubu that brought up this childish, insensitive and irrelevant idea.
Someone with National Interest at heart can never think of spending Nigerian money for such LUXURY nonsense.

After buying the boat at 5 billion, what next?
- You pay for operating license.
- You continue to renew the license.
- All the maintenence and upgrades that will follow within the next 8 years will cost another 4 Billion naira (this is naija).

No returns on investment. Just a total money guzzling machine.

The question remains, does the current economic realities in Nigeria today justifies this idiocy? How can government be creating multiple political ministries, buying foreign exotic cars for NASS and now this wasteful jamboree by a government?

I support Tinubu but can’t support nor defend him on this yacht nonsense. It is very insensitive at this time. Even if Ghana or Togo has it, we don’t have to copy everything. If it had been proposed and initiated by previous governments as I have read somewhere, let him stop it forthwith.

State governments with coastal water fronts should also toe the line and buy state yatches. The blue economy is about to get busy . The yatches should have special docks and harbors to prevent corrosion and should be used to receive state visitors from Germany and other countries.
The captains of the harbor should be well trained naval engineers or naval architecture to save coat on maintenance with a complete crews of not less than 15 to 20 staff so that all year round their will be enough hands on deck

Chai..what a reasoning, what thought's, what creatures . Does this comparison even make sense even to a foolish human

I cannot understand why it is extremely difficult to grasp & understand simple things of life. It tells this defence are based on tribalism, religious extremism , bigotry & nepotism. No sane creature can defend what is Happening presently in Nigeria

Can someone who is as daft as even the most stupid human on earth ever think that countries that Nigeria is owning billions of Dollars of loans, still on standby to go cap in hand to beg them for more loans.. this countries are ship builders anyway , they build yachts & Export them....should those countries even be compared with Nigeria

Hell no, the emilokan report even stated that most are privately owned yacht. How do that compare with a country where a druggie President budget State funds for family & friends to buy yachts in a country experiencing a miserable renewed hopelessness

Insha Allah, it will never be well for..ok
