The content you get on DSTv for 19800, you'd need loads of data to stream it. Plus subscription to those services too. On Compact Plus, you'd get access to most premium football games, which is a bother to find for free on the internet.

That 20k will buy you 100GB data. More than enough to stream for a month.

This is what you get when there are little or no viable alternatives to DSTV/GoTV.

Nah! This is exactly what you get in a country where everything is anyhow and anything goes from top to bottom.

Is your internet free? How much data do you buy per month?

AchrafHakimi:

Answer the question:
What do you watch on DSTV that you can't watch online?

Please just name one thing.

Only an illiterate still uses DSTV.

You are actually the illiterate here.

Having a TV with Dstv,Gotv is a necessity to some homes especially those who have kids.

Does this make them illiterates?

Did they tell you they are not aware that you can watch anything on the internet??

Just open mouth waaaaaaahhhhh anyhow.

You don't need a laptop to enjoy programs with data.
Smart TVs exist.

You see why I say its a sign of illiteracy?
This people complaining doesn't know that there's something called an Amazon fire stick. If they do, they would gladly Uninstall their dstv.

For 2 years now I have stopped using dstv. Anyone that uses a firestick for a day would realize they've been in bandage all this time with dstv

Nothing this multi choice is good for except EPL, LALIGA and Seria A. Na repetition be the others. If they don’t show Rambo1 this week, na Thry will show lions and snake in the city we have seen several times over

It's total waste of money subscribing GOTV/DSTV, most especially GOTV. Dem nor dey show better thing. Mumu NEPA won't even allow you enjoy it if you manage to subscribe.... I would rather use my FTA decoder where I enjoy MBC channels.

If I wanna watch a particular movie what I do is download it online, it's better than wasting money.
Funniest post of the year.
To download a movie in HD you will need about 2-3G.That's about 1k data to download a single movie.
To watch live football in HD you spent at least 1k for data!
If you do that daily for a month, just downloading one movie and watching football, you end up spending at least 45k.You have not added watching other things o!
Some of you people want to sound smart, but end up sounding so f oolish.
It's like the st you'd argument people make that why pay say 20-30k a month for "NEPA" light that is not 24hours,why not just be using Generator..If u use your gen just the few hours in the night you must buy at least 1k if not 2k fuel.30days is 30k that you can't use to iron clothes, put on your freezer regularly or use hot plate and electric cooker.
Arguments without sitting down to use commonsense to calculate the relative cost and benefits!!

If they had voted the right candidate, DSTV Premium that was increased to N29,500 from N24,500 for don become N500 or maybe N200 monthly.

We go don build like 4 four refineries in 5 months and fuel for don cheap like water. Maybe N20 per liter.

Let them enjoy what they voted for. Elections have consequences.

Mbc sometimes shows top notch movies and it's completely free only drawback is they don't have sports channels.

Na only mumu still dey dash DStv money, the increased in price doesn't even mean increase in their service. What I do is collet plenty movies on my laptop, it's free and latest movies and connect it to the TV through HDMI cable and enjoy.
