While growing up, sometimes my father takes me out with him and during those times he teaches me certain things that a man should know.
Thing is, something happened I can't recall but that thing made him tell me he preferred my younger brother to me (We are 3 boys tho), I even noticed it because he took him out more and bought things for him. I was this kid that's so quite, reserved and always on my own and he never liked that. On the other note, my brother is very agressive have this agbero type of behaviour lol. My dad fell ill and I took care of him both at home and in the hospital to the point of his death I was with him, I didn't take what he said to heart and he never apologized but I did all that because I loved him very much, I saw him as a hero, even the person that he preferred wasn't interested in taking care of him as much as I was.
I totally forgot about this whole thing until this my younger Bro accused my Mom of been bias towards him which is true but as the first and oldest son I always stand for him whenever that happens because I know how it feels.
Please I urge present and future parents to do better with hiding or avoiding this favourite child thing, it's not really ohk.

But it's common that mothers like last borns more... Like in Tiv tradition, last Borns are the ones who inherits the mothers property shall....

Anyways, the thing is parents are really funny, my father liked our second born very well.... Do you know why.... Because our second born took the resemblance of our mother... Not because he was well behaved, but because he loves our mother and our second born is just exactly like her...

I've noticed how illiterates who couldn't read or even comprehend this post are talking about jealousy. I was never jealous or whatever, if I was I wouldn't take care of my father how I did and I won't even stand up for my brother when my mother is been bias towards him.

Parents showing how much they love a child,it makes the remain children feel they worth nothing in their parents heart.

Your own better.i no need talk my own story.all the experience made me very strong emotionally.cold too and very independent.

What's most important to note here is that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Having a favorite child is nothing special. No matter how much you try to hide it, as a parent, there is that one child that you will love more than the other. It only becomes a problem when you start treating the others badly.

But in all, as a parent just make money and spoil your children so that they wont even notice when you do something special for your favorite child

I do tell people that most of our parents had no idea what parenting was meant to be. This case of preference has been since time immemorial and I think its part of human nature.

The most important thing is that you turned out well for yourself. Many parents can't help showing favoritism to a particular child while openly resenting another, it hurts but one has to use it as a stepping stone to better their self. Remain blessed
