unfortunately the judgement was bought. Infact the court of Appeal shouldn’t entertain it in the first place.

Section 177 of the Constitution requires one to be a member of a political party before he could be vie for an electoral office.

Okay. Nigeria judiciary is something else. The last hope of the common is dashed.

Besides, what is the business of APC with who is a member and who is not a member of NNPP.

Is the APC not a "meddlesome interloper" and doing busy body over this case

Tinubu, Gandollar and the APC are hell bent on snatching Kano state from NNPP using the judiciary since they didn't succeed through the ballot.

It shall not be well with those who worked, encourage and supported this notorious narcotics drug trafficker engaging in criminal state capture to emerge president
Have you prayed for yourself? No, you forgot to do that. NNPP should have put their home in order, now it is beyond their internal affair.

Not a good time to be a litigator in this country. Those days, all a litigator needed to do was conduct extensive research based on decided cases and advise his client or proffer a legal opinion. But these days, one is not so sure anymore.

Just imagine! It is the same court ooo but different judgments, even in the light of the recent Supreme Court decision in the Presidential Appeal Case.

@ BluntCrazeMan, what is your take? Mind you, this is my new Monica. @ litigator is gone with the wind.

no violence will happen anywhere. If you like go and contest election without first having a membership card within the stipulated time before election like the constitution demand, and see what will happen.

But it was right for former Senate President Ahmed Lawan to emerge as a senatorial candidate after having missed the time scheduled due to his presidential ambition?

How is the concern of APC with who is a member of NNPP and Who is not a member of NNPP

Tribunal sacked him, he went to Appeal Court , he was booted out. Do you think some people could be bought?

totally dashed. So so unfortunate. That’s what they really ruled on today. Hopefully the Supreme Court of justice reverse the Appeal court of justice judgement sacking Kano State governor. APC just want to get Kano State by force. And when gawuna eventually won in the Supreme Court of justice, Kano State people begin to mourn. So so unfortunate seriously

True.but 177 is a constitutional matter and once constitutional, any party can challenge

Let's see what SP court will say on that aspect. Remember that issue was dismissed by pepc in the Obi case.

Yes but what about the unsigned INEC sheets? You see unlike LP and PDP these guys were able to show proof not just allegation with affidavit

Nigeria elections are not worth voting for. After standing under the sun for hours by kano citizens, court will now deny them their choices.

Is it not the same Court of Appeal that said nomination of candidates is a pre-election matter and a prerogative of the parties?

The most important issue in an election is: who scored the highest number of votes??

Someone whom the people have voted for and who scored the highest number of votes should not be disdqualified based on some flimsy reason as party membership because it's a given that the party would not have sponsored him if he wasnt their member. To disqualify the person who scored the highest number of votes automatically leads to grave injustice because someone whom the people didnt vote for and who didnt win would then be declared the winner

But the same happened in Bayelsa and Zamfara where the first runner-up whom the 'people don't vote for became governor.

Typical of uneducated Nigerian youths. Why don't you look for the Full Judgement and read it before you comment. A Case of this nature should not be determined in isolation.

Everyone is ignoring the unsigned ballots and chasing pre election matters. I expect this pre election matters to be overturned at the SC but not the deficient ballots.

"the tribunal invalidated over 165,663 ballots thumb printed in favour of NNPP. The court ruled that the votes were deducted because the ballot papers with which they were cast were not stamped or signed. This rendered the votes invalid, according to the tribunal" ( as reported)

This is irrefutable.

Who's job is it to sign INEC sheets? NNPP!

Why is INEC not being held responsible for their misdemeanors

But the judgement today is not about unsigned INEC sheets

It is about Abba gida not being a member of NNPP.

How does it concern the APC

After the Supreme Court Judgement, I can have a good say.

As for now, it's still not predictable.

I just want to know if the Appeal Court saw it wise enough to uphold that only the ballot-papers that were voted for the NNPP were checked and searched-out for the unsigned and unchecked ballot-papers,, leaving all the other ballot-papers voted for the other parties unchecked and un-searched??

If they upheld that, then, it's an unfair judgement.
It is a targeted ambush.

As for the disqualification of the candidate based on non-constitutional reasons,, that too is also an unfair judgement.

What happened to “Litigator”.??
You deactivated it? Or you lost the Log-in details? Or them samma you a long-term ban??

Who provides ballot papers for election, INEC

Who signs ballot papers, INEC

So why is INEC not held responsible for it, why should NNPP be held responsible for the misdemeanors of INEC

But today's appeal court ruling has nothing to do with that.

It's about Abba gida not being a member of NNPP thereby not qualified to contest
