1. Our leaders pay themselves better than counterparts in mentioned countries.
2. They receive healthcare abroad despite budget constraints.
3. There's an alleged misappropriation of 70% of the already limited funds.
4. Leaders drive equally or more extravagant cars compared to counterparts.

If there’s no money we will agree when they step down.

We can double our tax revenues without the poor. The people who really pay taxes in this country and Salaried workers and companies. Most self employed do not pay their fair share of taxes. There are also a lot of taxes that are not being paid. Just see how much Wike raised in Abuja in 1 month when he asked Abuja. Residents to pay their ground rents. There are many leakages all over the place without targeting the poor. In most countries the rich pay 80% of the taxes. In Nigeria, the rich and the middle class do not pay the right amount of taxes.

true....

the problem is how you wan enforce it that the money realy land in federal account.... undecided undecided

Not rich but buying yacht, buying 2023 SUVs for NASS members and throwing 10s of billions of naira to the judiciary prior to election litigation.

He is totally wrong, it was never about being rich or poor, it's about getting your spending priorities right.

If the FG and SG cut off wasteful spending and corruption, nigerian can conveniently run a budget above 50b USD and still achieve around 90-95% completion rate

You should actually be challenging SE leaders who have majorly pocketed South East money instead of bringing in investment, FDI and industries to the zone. Other zones are being industrialized and globalized, making themselves into standard developed cities, you are here spiting people that used their money better with indigenous efforts talk.
Later when the difference is very clear, you will claim that they marginalized you. Wake up dear, hate is never the way up.

That’s the real problem. I am sure 90% of those in the National Assembly do not pay their fair share of taxes. I remmember during confirmation Akpabio was shocked when he saw the tax clearance of Audu from Kogi. Clearly he wasn’t use to his fellow politicians paying their true taxes. But he is a minority.

I don’t know how you can declare assets to CCB and they won’t ask where is your tax paid commensurate with this level of wealth. In other countries if you have money and you haven’t paid taxes you live a low profile so the tax man doesn’t target you.

its not only about votin the right president....

its about the system....
if you cant find somebody that will force the ol system to change then it will not matter who you vote....
things will remain the same....
for example....why is it that states that produce oyel can only keep 13%....??

shouldnt it be the other way around....??
its the federal goverment that should be gettin 13% and the oyel producin states keep the rest....
but try to suggest that and see how fight will start....

You compare those budgets and how far those countries have gone ahead then you'll realized that Nigeria doesn't even derseve 1b dollar as budget because at the end it's going into pockets not national investment

Largest Economies In Africa 2023:

1. Nigeria
GDP- 477B dollar
Budget- 33B

2. Egypt
GDP- 475B
Budget- 97B

3. South Africa
GDP- 405B
Budget- 132B

4. Algeria
GDP- 195B
Budget- 98B

This is simply because Nigeria is collecting lesser taxes despite having bigger economy. And also unlike other countries, Nigeria runs a federal system of govt with components states having their own budgets.

Excellent points.

1. Algeria produces about 4 times more oil than we do so more money (actually around the same amount of crude, but for a population of 44.5 million people, compared to our 200 million and more).

2. South Africa has a diversified economy and as such has more money.

3. Egypt has a diversified economy and is a tourism monster. (Everyone must see the Pyramids and the Sphinx at least once. That's billions of kash in hard currency without doing anything)
But you have to first lie that Algeria produces more oil than we do. The question to ask is how nigeria has more GDP than all these countries if we are indeed poor and oil dependent.

Exactly. For a fact, we have bad governance hampering people’s welfare, however, 80% of Nigerian populace will be the dredge of whatever society they find themselves, in any part of the world, because they are retarded. However they will be the ones to lament the most everywhere, when sadly, they can find no use of themselves in the country.
