I was on Facebook when someone posted this photo and added that "drinking garri will never be your portion".

I wonder why people think that drinking garri is a sign of economic hardship when you can actually spend more on it than on many other food types. As for me, no matter what happens - even if I am elected the Governor of Kogi State grin
- I can never stop enjoying "Otto" with gnut and milk.

Or, could this be a queer taste I acquired from attending a boarding school? Who else is with me on loving this food?

Meanwhile, kindly share a guy name you have for seaped garri in your part of the world. As for me, in my boarding school, we called it "Otto" and we practiced "soak and travel" to add value to it.
Garri is a poisonous food,it kills you gradually, expecially when you are more than forty years old,try and avoid it.

I wonder while will anybody leave other cereals like Golden morn and decide to take garri that is not good for the health

Let's be honest with ourselves here, garri drinking is common with poor people because it's cheap to get...that should be the only reason you're taking garri

Not totally true. Garri is one of my favourite food, especially when the weather is hot. I live in the north and always order for my place order for bag ijebu garri from Lagos because it's a must have in my house.

I notice my children too are following the same path. This is not to say we can't afford good food. By God's grace we can afford whatever we want to eat.
Ijebu garri, plus honey ( I don't take sugar), cold water, groundnut and fried fish is the combo for me.

Long press your space bar. A list would pop up. Look down on the pop up, you'll see an option to choose Language Settings. Click on 'Language Settings' and choose a Nigerian language among them. From then on, you'll be able to type in English as well as in the language you've chosen. When you press the number key on your keypad, the key that beside your space bar that has 123 written on it, you'll see the ā‚¦ symbol among the keys that are displayed.

Garri plus peanut, milk, chocolate and honey is best taken after passing through the hot Nigerian sun!

Garri snack is best taken when soaked in cold water medium.

Soaking garri has always been a staple snack in ā‚¦igeria.

Garri flakes( aka soak and travel) can never be as useless as Nigerian political class.
