Omo

We have constant light in my area but shit, I'm on prepaid meter

Hot plate would have been an option for me but the way it is milking the credits on my meter, I'd rather stay put with Gas

How I wish I'm not on prepaid meter, it's over a year I put on the Air conditioner also

For those asking why bathing with hot water, the poster said for big family.

Back to the topic, if God bless you, all the aforementioned are needed.

1. Gas for fast foods in the house or whenever it's late

2. Charcoal for beans and other foods that may take time.

3. Keresone to support gas whenever it finishes unnoticed.

Above all, may God bless all good husbands
Re: Which Is More Economical For A Large Family by Acidosis(m): 7:29pm On Dec 13, 2023
An electric kettle. It's cheaper, faster, and safer (clean energy things). The brand I use is very efficient. Water gets heated in 2-3 minutes max and water heated at 8am can serve your bathing needs at 4pm. Get yourself a stainless steel electric kettle. The heat retaining capacity is 🔥🔥

You'll think you're saving money with charcoal but it's actually a complete time, energy, and money waster. That it is difficult to use doesn't mean affordability. Same applies to kerosene. You're destroying your pot, wasting your time, while spending more money due to perpetual ignorance.

Please try to adapt to bathing with ordinary water. It will not kill you; in fact it will make your body stronger. I haven't used warm/hot water for bathing in over 10 years. You will not die.
😂 Go and bath cold water in the northern harmattan weather, try Jos first... If dem no go hospitalized you.

Please let's rub minds, which is more economical, with this harsh economy and weather conditions, one cannot do without bathing with boiling point water, And cost of everything has skyrocketed, a bag of charcoal is above 5k, 1kg of gas is above a thousand naira and kerosene is also nothing to write home about, so please, I'd like to know how you cope with your families this season, which do you use and why?

1. A charcoal 2. Gas 3. Kerosene 4. All or none ?
Thanks for your input.

Nothing stops you from trying the charcoal for one month, weigh the advantages and disadvantages of both and make your decision. You can even get charcoal for boring water only due to the current weather in your location.

When bathing, start from the lower parts with as little water as possible. Ask from rugged boarding school system studens who bath out in the open they will confirm it for you.

Room temp water is not so hard to adapt to.

it is direct suicide bathing with normal temperature water in Jos. it usually freezing cold during this season.

I've been there, lol. I did it once when we ran out of coal and I needed to be out. If your area got constant power, you can opt for ring boiler or a cooker.

Depending on the health condition. Cold bathing may not be ideal for some people.

I've been trying to save the planet for the past 20years, so Charcoal and Kerosene is a no-no for me. The consequential cost doesn't make them cheap for me. Gas is far cheaper for me among the three.
