30k salary cannot afford you anything. That’s laboring , suffering. Not a good thing.

Why look at the negative part, I’d rather look at the good side, earning well in dollars and living a good life. There’s no nobility in poverty

You don’t have to be on Forbes list before living a good life. What’s the craze about being named among the richest men in the world.
There are several people whose names have never appeared on Forbes lists, and living a very good life.
Going on vacations in luxurious places, living a dream life and not lacking any good thing in life

Yeah right. Someone who earns $15 million a year will become broke if they get fired. grin
There are rich salary earners. Full stop. Anyone can become broke if they mismanage wealth. That is not what this thread is about. It's about whether someone can become rich from a salary. The answer is yes. Any other thing is long talk.

https://fadeawayworld.net/nba/20-nba-players-who-went-broke-and-lost-millions-of-dollars

If you check the link above, you would see players that earned up to $100 million in their career declaring bankruptcy, what's $15 million that can't be lost if you're careless. It's not easy to make millions of dollars but it's harder to hold on to it. You think billionaires like Dangote, Musk, Zuckerberg etc are stupid looking for more money despite being billionaires? They understand the laws of money that if they are to remain wealthy, they must obey the laws of money and become master at it. And you can only become a master when you're employer and never an employee.

janeedema:
It isn’t a case of misplaced priority. As one who is called to pastor people, he owes them a responsibility to share what it takes to be financially independent.

Man is spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body.

Unless you think it is misplaced priority for a pastor to tell the same members who queue up for prayer for healing how to avoid being sick?

Church members queue up for financial assistance qs giving them money only as a church without advising on how they can thrive knowing it’s God’s desire for them isn’t ideal.

We are called to la holistic lifestyle as Christians— a balanced spirit, soul and body.

If only the spirit is fed and the mind and body left fallow, the teachings on the spirit won’t profit anything.

MD / directors / Regional Managers of banks, multinationals etc are salary earners. . Hebert Wigwe that just died was a salary earner. .
Herbert Wigwe has chain of business, Infact he built university before he has that plane crash last January. Forget it here, most of these CEOs doesn’t depend on one source of income. They have different source of income bringing money to them

so you haven’t see management staffs have two or 3 chains of business nii. Some will even build houses for rental purchases. Some have huge properties for rental purposes and they are enjoying their huge benefits for the decisions they made in the past. Unlike this generation we are witnessing now.

He doesn't know what he's saying clearly, their are rich CEOs that are salary earners and they aren't the owner of the company....

Twitter CEO
MTN CEO
Apple CEO

Many CEOs that are salary earners but they earn above 500m naira per annum

How many people fall into this category.
If you can find 5 out if every 10 salary earner fall into this category then he is absolutely right.

For him to be wrong then there must be more people who are financially independent (wealthy) by being salary earners.

Setting up a business is not as easy as you think. Over 90% of businesses fail. Only a few make it. Nothing good comes easy in any direction. And working as a salary earner is not bad. You can work for people, be an employee and live the best of life.
Just follow your path, if na entrepreneur be your calling, follow it. If going to school and getting the necessary skill is your calling, do it.

In summary, leave Govt Job alone if you want to be a top ranking Billionaire
If you leave your job in a quest to become a billionaire, 2 things can happen.
1. You end up becoming a billionaire
2. You end up much poorer.
The probability of No 2 happening is more than 90%.
When they tell you that 90% of businesses fail, they are simply telling you that you have a 90% chance of becoming poor if you leave your job and start a business.
