I am not here to lie... I only asked if I was scammed or not.

Oga you did not lie and the woman did not scam you.The price of fish went up yesterday .I bought that size for 2,300 yesterday and it's because I am the lady's regular customer.

The inflation rate is almost beyond control.

I am the type that doesn't like regular fish aside from catfish. I eat chicken, turkey, and goat meat more, but yesterday I decided to change my regular taste and went to the market to buy this Titus fish. If I can remember vividly, it wasn't sold for more than #400 the last time I ate it, but guess the price is now. It was so sweet, though, and I am not sure if this lady scammed me or sold cheap.

Please drop the current price.

Update... This Fish was sold to me for 5k and the lady was doing like she did me a favour. cry cry

I think I have been scammed kiss cry

Fair price, it was 7 pieces I got from the cold room after sharing one slate into 4 places for 10, 700 each

So for a reseller it's okay.

A bag of pure water is about 300-500 now normally, so 600 naira isn't too far, but the retailers must be making excessive profit.

This whole dollar stuff has been overplayed and some Nigerians didn't take it easy on others, especially those selling consumer goods, they're always hiking prices.

A bag of pure water in d North is around 200 naira. A piece is 20 naira...Even at that price of 200 na d expensive ones with reverse osmosis & stuff. You either drive into any pure water factory to buy or they would supply U directly if U dey buy plenty

As delicious water dey everywhere, if d price is too high, people go just fill empty bottles with water & put for fridge

Prices of things is based on location... you're not scammed. In my location the fish will go for 1800 or 2k each... but if it is slightly bigger than this 2500 or 3k. Na who get money dey chop Titus, only kpalarian's can relate.
Re: See The Fish I Bought for ₦‎5,000 by Testimony1988(m): 6:21am On Mar 07
You should have located where you can buy in kilos, its cheaper that way.

Unless you show us the receipt or video when you were paying for it, I DON’T BELIEVE YOU.
You Nigerians can lie and exaggerate things for attention. Most of you are as bad as your leaders, if not worse.

Lolz, we dont buy fake mackerel, , that one is between 900 - 1200. Infact, there was small size of original ones the woman was selling 800 each that day.

Next time, if a fish seller say 2500 each, just let her know you are not novice, that the size is 1200, she would immediately confess the new price, which must not exceed maximum of #1700.

Sounds like a high end restaurant, cos normally most regular eateries wouldn't be bold enough to call such a price.

Well, if it's a high end restaurant, it's understandable. At least clubs sell a bottle of coke for 5k, while it's 300 naira outside.

Bros am at Kilimanjaro restaurant.
That croacker tail is 5,500

Those tiny pieces of mackerel is 2,250
