I bet when next you go there, you won't feel the stench much again.,I'm speaking from my last Month's experience, when we took our late beloved Mum there.,the next time I went alone there, I didn't perceived the stench much.,subsequent visit to pick & relocate her, I didn't bother to put on a mask. Even the fear about Dead bodies all disappeared. JuanXXx: 8 Likes 1 Share |

Sirmwill:You mean to tell me that none of these politicians have visited the morgue before? Even Akpabio that had a near death experience yet still thinks that the “political struggle” , according to him, is all there is to life? 8 Likes 1 Share |

Death is part of life of humans just that it's the end of Earthly life here so be good to all that you come across do your best to humanity in any way you can. At the end to dust we came and to dust we return. That's why I laughed at Sen. Akpabio at the funeral of Wigwe. He still doesn't understand what life is even till that moment and after. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

Went inside the morgue 13 years ago to identify my dads body, I couldn’t even enter, so much dead bodies almost 700 , the stench almost made me throw up one fat dead woman was lying in front of me as if she was blocking me I had goose bumps , a friend obliged to help me in , we were jumping human corpses as we were entering, once I saw my father I barely recognized him, he is completely black and face is changed , God did well to make death mandatory it’s the only thing that humbles us after our very wicked and sinful life on earth 31 Likes 1 Share |

SporaD8: This is not true, over time, you will get used to seeing dead people as nothing... You might be eating and the people at the front desk will be shouting doctor, doctor, you will get there, certify the patient dead, go wash your hands and continue with your food. If religious houses can't do shit, morgues won't do shit either!!! 13 Likes 1 Share |

kenny160: No, actually, I'm a Christian. I used to be indifferent about it until recently when I realised that people even pick new enemies because someone did not post about their birthdays on social media. I understand the concept of celebrating one's life, at least before they die. However, in reality, many people have lost touch with the reality that the more birthdays they celebrate, the closer they are to their grave. All those '+1' posts are actually '-1. It wouldn't be a bad thing at all if we celebrate birthdays by simply counting our blessings and reflecting...though.. 30 Likes 4 Shares |

Acidosis:I do wonder whenever I see I am +1 today too and no one of them write -1. Thou, in my opinion thinking of closer to death during birthday celebration or rwmebering age might make one depressed but it is good to remind us that the life is vanity so you have to take things slowly and be doing good...thank you my brother. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

It is only in Naigeeria or africa people are afraid of motuary, dead body or coffin, when i was working at the NHS hospital as a security we must go into the morgues to check if any body is missing, count them and make sure all are intact even at nights, i always looked to see if i can find ghosts i didn't see any. At first i was apprehensive, after about 6 months i got used to them, sometimes i have to go alone to check on the "deadies" as we called them, unlike how the Op described the one he went to these morgues were very clean, sprayed with airfreshner and they are very well preserved, we also had forensics investigators come in to pick up and return. Cleaners came in to clean the whole place. At some point we didn't even notice them, we had our security office just metres away from the dead bodies. No qualms! Death is inevitable for everyone.. better to embrace it rather than afraid of it. 29 Likes 3 Shares |

The only way out of an uncertain eternity after death is to yield to the love of God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour. After death nothing else matter, as there is no second chance but rather judgement. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Morgue is even extreme - just pay a visit to teaching hospital or federal or state medical centers - you will see how people are dying per hour and been wrapped in white clothes. I was in Isolo General hospital in the accidents and emergency wards, you will continue to hear people wailing and crying and shouting. I had to go outside to the car stand shed to sit down. The sight was just too traumatic for me. 19 Likes |
