Tompolo really messed up! He was the one attacking the community over a boundary dispute, fighting with his men dressed in military uniforms. They killed those guys and mutilated them. Initially, the victims thought it was the military, but later discovered it was Tompolo's men. His personal secretary, who spearheaded the attack, was later captured and beheaded. This angered Tompolo and prompted him to make another move. Being a government man in the creek guarding the pipeline, he sent the real army using his influence. However, those in the community mistook them for Tompolo's men and ambushed them, resulting in retaliation similar to what the men in uniform had done to them. That's why you see some bodies beheaded and mutilated. Tompolo's men have been committing such atrocities in that community. And trust the Uruobo guys, they will retaliate.

Was it not a few weeks ago that some misguided youths were asking for a millitary coup?

Nigerians youths be careful what you wish for.

Perhaps, the millitary will clap for Okuama community if it were a millitary regime.

The military should have no business in a communal clash, they weren't trained to deal with the civilians. This is the job of Police or Civil defense, the Nigerian security architecture is structureless and our military is poor in intelligence gatherings. Why not gather intels before going for such a mission. It's sad that our military lacks the necessary technology and skills for modern warfare.
And this is why the bandits, and Boko boys are having a field day in Nigeria. This situation has further reveal the weakness of our military which more militant group might explore and take its advantage if our military failed to step up their games
RIP to the lost service men, Nigeria military is too poor and they are living in their past glory and I don't think Nigeria military can combat Niger or even Benin Republic as we speak

very shameless people.

Armored machinery for who exactly? Is Nigeria at war?

Armored vehicles for innocent and defenceless people? that's what they are known for. The real culprits left that place minutes after commiting the crime they did.

Why kill innocent people?

I hope when they meeting their match they will not run or die like chickens?

After the military is done with this community, they (community) would have already been in the same league with Zaki biam ànd Odi since it's what they were looking for.

That community don buy market.

I read somewhere here on nairaland where someone was trying to compare what happened in that community to what Boko Haram terror group is doing in the North. No. They ain't the same.
The Boko Haram terror group issue, much like the IPOB/ESN terror group, can't be compared to members of a community killing members of the Armed Forces deployed to their community to maintain peace during a civil unrest.
They killed high ranking military officers fa!
The Audacity.
I am sure if those involved had visited Odi in Bayelsa state, at least once, they wouldn't dare what they did.

so the coward soldiers can't fish out d culprits but busy destroying innocent ppls houses...was it d houses dat killed them?

What is currently happening in delta community shows that we clearly don't have a leader. The army seem to be above the law and no one can control then, not even the corn man. what sane leader allows his army to bombard a civilian community in his country?
