What is the value of naira earned by a cab driver in Nigeria compared to the dollar earned by a cab driver abroad?

sad Yeah! No wonder your husband was involved in narcotic trafficking and certificate forgery abroad. They always go abroad to seek healthcare which many Nigerians cant afford neither will his corrupt government provide the needed healthcare facilities back home.

May be they want the distraughted citizens to stay behind and become touts, alayes, agberoes, owomida miscreant and vandals terrorising Lagos. Always insulting the sensibility of sane citizens with stupid rhetorics. Make the country good and see if your citizens will go do menial jobs abroad.

When they cage you now. You will look like fowl they forget inside rain.

Isn't it the case that this woman's husband always runs to France and Germany for healthcare that he rejects in Nigeria? Yesterday she told Nigerians to grow their own food bla, bla, bla. Can any of the efulefus singing their praises here on empty stomach tell her to shut her leaking mouth already?

Blind people describing parts of a camel or elephant.

So you can make a minimum wage of 15 dollars per hour, roughly $30,000.00 a year or about 30 million naira a year!
Before you celebrate, realize that you have to pay 24 million for rent O.

Left with 6 million a year to feed, transport and other expenses like clothes. So, do you now realize how people who made 30 million naira a year abroad starve while those who make the same amount are big men in Nigeria?

Even educated one like doctors compare their salaries in Nigeria to those in the U.S as if young base doctors in the U.S do not pay rent, student loan, buy cloths etc.

Na ignorance go kill us for Nigeria.

How can someone that has 10 million naira after his savings, selling family properties out of which 2m naira go for ticket and visa; expect 8 million naira to last him abroad for more a month. The same amount that can start small business here.

Our mutual Don do.

This woman is either dumb or wicked or both. Now I don’t know exactly how much these “JAPAtriates” get paid for these odd jobs they do abroad. But I’m pretty sure It would make more sense to be collecting a Dollar equivalent of at least two million Naira to be cleaning toilets every month over there abroad as compared to collecting 15,000 Naira here in Nigeria for the same job.

At least they are paid for the job, we'll paid. E easy to earn 12pounds for nightshift for care home, earn 15 quid for sanitation officer plus paid overtime and holiday. Have you seen refuse collectors or security asking anything for the boys. In Nigeria person clearing gutter they will pay him 2k after 8 hours work. Road cleaners will work everyday for 15k a month, lawma boys will be looking like horror movie and still asking anything for the boys. Let's not talk of security, cleaners, private school teachers. Abeg japa and forget all these failed leaders whose children are abroad but discouraging you not to japa

Hehe na money be that?

How much do they earn doing those jobs in abroad compared to the economy of which country they might be staying.

Average decent 2bdr in New York is from $2500 monthly. How much is that in Naira? Yet they have other bills to pay

YOur argument is lopsided. 2bdr in NewYork is from $2500, Is New York the only place to live in the US. There is so much more to US than New York. Even at that, Most of the people that work in New York live in neighbouring states and they dont even spend more than 1 to 1.5hrs to get to work. How much time will the man going to work from Ikorodu to Ikoyi spend on the road. And if he decides to live in New York and pay $2500 as monthly rent, did the person tell you it is difficult for him to make the money. US is not UK, If you are hardworking you will make money, if you are intelligent u will make money.

are they poor that an average American citizens cannot afford to feed? An average American citizens cannot afford 3 square meal daily? Are they so poor that they cried to their president that they're Hungry? Are they so poor that they loot any lorry carrying food or any warehouse filled with food items just for them to feed? Are they so poor that their children doesn't have access to quality education, but instead they are being sent out to beg for alms before they could feed?

The poor ones over there will automatically become rich or at least a middle class when they return to Nigeria. Does that applies to poor Nigerians if given Free visa to US or Canada? Will their naira currency makes them automatically become rich when they land there and convert their money to USD?

Yes, some Americans cannot afford 3 square meals.

Some Americans beg for alms on the street as well.

So, you do not know about this?

You have watched too many american movies

Infact the effort(hardwork) it takes to make 200k in Nigeria will actually fetch $3000(if not more) in the US. Meanwhile take home of 800 after earning 1500 is not valid. Who earns $1500 will still take home $1000 if not more. That's a low tax bracket.
