If they withdraw it, they will tell her that she wasn't found worthy in character and then she can go and contest it in court. Funnily enough, some schools make students sign understandings that forbid them from suing their alma mater.

Saying she didn't graduate as a virgin does not dent her "character" in any way. She might have entered into the university as a married woman or single mother. In that case, she is saying the truth.

As for universities not championing innovations and discoveries, it boils down to lack of good governance. Blame bad governance.
