CSTRR: Who do you blame? When you see some that put the title "Dr" in front of his names and still reason these way is that not a mystery yet to be known? Even a total illiterate can't reason this way infact someone with mental issues can't reason this way, bro it is the Quota system issue that caused it. |

You spoke well Alhaji. We have heard. Just like Buhari and the cabal heard you during their time. All financial institutions are headed by people from the West....UBA, Fidelity, Zenith, NSIA, Access are exceptions to your postulation. Maybe Alhaji should be made a DG and we will see how much dollars he will put inside his cap. 😁 |

Magnumproperty:Have you ever heard the story about the Donkey in a Well? Something happened since 1800 and 224 years later, people are still complaining. With all their knowledge and technology? ---------------------------------- The Donkey in the Well is a parable about life. Once upon a time, a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, that the well needed to be covered anyway and that it just wasn't worth retrieving the donkey. However, the donkey shrugged off all the mud being shoveled upon and took a step up. The story is often told to teach the lesson that no matter how bad things seem, there is always a way out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZZGZfDILWk&pp=ygUQZG9ua2V5IGluIGEgd2VsbA%3D%3D |

The law of the sea makes Nigeria get more nautical miles for off shore drilling. The size of the North of the country made that happen. No country by the Gulf of guinea has that geographical advantage than Nigeria.lt is that clear. |

The man' s assertions that a nation's nautical mile exclusive access to the sea or or ocean depends on the size of its landmass are pure lies and dubious at best. A country as small as the Equatorial Guinea still has exclusive access to its own off shore oil wells that fall within its exclusive zone and that does not depend on the size of its country at all. Here is the UN point of view on this matter: "The foundation is the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982). It says that a country may claim an area extending 12 nautical miles from its coast as its own territorial sea. Additionally it can exploit 200 nautical miles of the water column beyond its coast as its exclusive economic zone. The same applies to the first 200 nautical miles of the sea floor, the continental shelf. The resources found there can be exploited by that country alone. And that is not all. If the country can scientifically prove that its continental shelf extends even further – that it is continuously geologically connected to the mainland – it also has the sole rights to the resources there as well. This territorial claim includes islands but not rocks or other outcroppings." If the continental shelf of a nation's landmass extends further into the sea.,.it can also use that basis to claim it as part of its territorial waters as explained by the article here: https://www.boell.de/en/2017/05/30/ocean-governance-who-owns-ocean "This is particularly interesting for some uninhabited islands like Heard Island and the McDonald Islands. They are tiny islands located 1,000 kilometers north of eastern Antarctica. Thanks to them, Australia has secured a geological exploitation area of more than 2.5 million square meters. That’s because these islands stand on the undersea Kerguelen Plateau, a gigantic mountain range that stretches more than 2,000 kilometers. Australia can now claim exclusive exploitation rights to it. The convention does place some limits on this, but the rights may still extend up to 350 nautical miles from the island." It therefore means that if the Niger Delta littoral states become a country tomorrow they can still claim those same off shore wells as part of their territorial waters and this is will not be based on the size of the Delta nation per se. Perhaps this dubious Muslim was harping on the twisted nonsense the Nigerian constitution added to make such control of those territorial waters a prerogative of the Federal Government and not the Littoral state facing the ocean itself. This is where further interesting discussions and amendments need to be made. 1 Like 1 Share

Because those inane elders of the coastal areas of the Niger delta region sold the oil to the north. Those elders wanted to shun the Igbo and went to Kaduna to beg the then Regional governor of the state, Hashim Katsina, to beg the then HoS, Yakubu Gowon to separate the coastal area from Biafra. Gowon quickly created Cross River and River state, Biafra lost. Northern military dictators and businessmen acquired the multi billion dollar oil blocks in the Niger delta region. Furthermore, Northern military dictators proliferated a whooping number of 19 states and Abuja in the northern region to siphon more oil revenues to the north every monthly federal allocations day. Sotay, from the overrepresentation of the north at the NASS, the north can say what percentage of proceeds from crude oil can go to the oil producing areas. The north can decide how much doles can be given to restless youths in the Niger delta to keep calm while oil proceeds go to Abuja. |

Northern Nigerians are a waste of space. They have all manner of resources, including cheap labour, gold, agriculture, green energy minerals, hydroelectricity, solar, and a good road network, but their lazy eyes are on the oil in the south. A lazy people who refuse to wake up will be slaves. 1 Like |
