You don't know about fish ponds.
The fishes pass all their waste products into the waters, so, the waters are flushed out and replaced every morning.
It is either they flush into gutters or use underground gutters. If they flush in drainages, the odour will be like flushing your toilet on the streets.
I wrote it somewhere there that he used his underground gutter, so the waters was sinking into the ground.
