You are comparuing Nigeria to countries with advanced power supply. Nigeria is expensive because demand is high while supply is low. Its simple economics. The more attractive our power sector is, the more generation and supply and the less we will pay. Also lets not forget that many nigeria bypass power leading to more loss.

What is this one saying?

Even transport being subsidized that he talked about would likely be for the extremely poor people in the society, and they would still pay a significant amount.
Parking at Public hospitals is free in Nigeria, in some of the countries like Canada, you pay for parking. So how can Nigeria develop like Canada when we want most public utility and facilities free? We have to chose one, either freebies or underdevelopment. We can't have both.

100%. I haven't seen an hospital with free Parking in all the provinces I have lived in Canada. Even the ambulance people talk about is not free. An ambulance ride would cost around 200 - 400 dollars.

People should just protest that government bring the subsidy back and development can be pushed back to the next government like we have always done, but all these comparison of wages and bills from different countries doesn't make much sense to me.

Ur statement dey sentimental. NIGERIANS ARE MORONIC, DUBIOUS AND DESTRUCTIVE.

civil servants no be Nigerians? People wey dey vandalize cables upandan na Korean? Who dey run ghost workers? Billions of Naira dey enter one group pocket.

We have seen people stealing transformers, market women and traders inflating prices, as if na all of dem dey APC.

Its not the time to blame, but to work collectively.

The Fallacy Of Subsidies In Nigeria:
•We warned against this so called Removal of Electricity Subsidies, but can you see what your Power Minister - Adelabu- has sold to Nigerians?
All na Corruption - that is not making Refineries and DISCOS work!
• the Falsehoods theory that Only when you removed Subsidies, will things work is a Fallacy on the People - same with Crude Oil or how can you compare that what Canada( A Developed Country) is Paying less for lights and is lower than what Nigerians are paying?
• Why is it easy to adjust Meters upwards in Nigeria, than Correct the anomaly in Oil-and Power/ Electricity Sector ?
• Nigerian are yet to see anything tangible,or beneficial in both Oil Or DISCOS and GENCO,as well as anything from NNPC,but many people have no Money in their Accounts to purchase the Fuel and even the Increased in the Price of Electricity!
You are not making the Masses to be at ease with your government - No New Salary Adjustment,
No Palliatives-for Workers and Retirees and the Masses except the National Assembly ( Senators + House of Reps+ States Assembly in Nigeria + All the Executives in Nigeria)
Is this the Right way to make Nigeria Great?
We de wait o!

Electricity in North Dakota (US) is N130 per KWH, minimum wage is N1.3 million naira monthly

Electricity in Texas (US) is N195 per KWH, minimum wage is N1.3 million naira monthly

Electricity in Nigeria is N225 per KWH, minimum wage is N30,000 naira monthly
When a good leader is in a position the masses rejoice
But when a bad leader is in power the people perish.

We the citizens are the one paying for electricity and if u are owing just 2000 naira, those discos officials will cut your wire and take away to their office.

Aso rock is owing billons, many govt ministries owning plenty gbese, but all that this APC egekege know how to do is to press the citizens neck more and more.

You wonder where and what's birthing and making the vices of society commonplace in today's Nigeria?

It's matters like this...

There are people even earning less than 30k per month in this country... With the current price of things out there, how are all these people supposed to survive?

If they ever hear increase minimum wage, you'll start seeing big grammars as to why it isn't feasible. But tell these same people to reduce the excess expenditures and even their exorbitant allowances that makes zero sense for a supposed public official, they'll almost shoot you gun..

Like always say, the masses has got to realize that whether it's APC, PDP, LP or any other party out there, without scapegoating some people sacrificing them to the betterment of the country's future, the country would end up as another Zimbabwe in the long run.

You see the supposed victims online and even at newspaper stands exhibiting foolishness by attacking their fellow victims just because he has different faith and ethnicity and you go begin wonder if dem use suffer swear for most of them..

E jhus be like say pesin dey waste time dey worry for these mor0ns.. Maybe that's why everyone jhus kukuma focus on their matter alone..

South Africa produces more than 50,000 mw of electricity. U can't compare them with Nigeria that can't manage 5000mw without the grid collapsing.

Not when the cart is put before the horse. How do you talk of rate without metering people? Without meter, how do you arrive at the kwh they ought to pay for? The people in govt seem daft, the ones supporting them are moronic, stupid and senseless. What does it take a govt to give people meters? Painfully, many are willing to pay for these meters, yet the govt who couldn't provide meters woke up and started talking about kwh and some stupid people like you are here defending them.
