The prayer is for Christian to lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness. That does dot prevent war.

Revelation 12:12 says this; "Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.” The Devil is still acting behind the world scene, so there will be war and continue to be war until he will be abyss. you people read the bible upside down. All through Christ's 33 yrs on earth, the Jews were securely under the thumbs of Rome . . . how many times did we hear Him "interceding" for the Jews to gain independence? Did the early apostles forget to pray to lift the yoke of Rome's bondage all through their ministries? When Christ was prophesying the fall of Jerusalem partly in matthew 24, why didnt He just pray it away instead of saying "all these must come to pass"? Didnt He remember that He "held the key to peace" for His own people?

l have taken time to read through the several posts but am particularly disappointed at the response of many to a simple call to prayer. You know its amazing how some people reason if someone says please lets pray against an impending war siting economic consequencies why then should another person relate it to tithe. The point is in the advent of a war, as the economy begins to suffer so the living standard of the people, life becomes unbearable.

So are you saying that this looming war with Iran is the fulfilment of that prophecy?

And what do you know about soulwinning . , You need to first know Christ for yourself. God need to win you first.

This is just a simple alert to all Christians and I don't see a reason for all the negative attacks. Let us see what Jesus said about the tribulation period. He made this statement:

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter , neither on the sabbath day : 21 For then shall be great tribulation , such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time , no , nor ever shall be . 22 And except those days should be shortened , there should no flesh be saved : but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Mat 24:20-23.

Even though the tribulation is part of prophecy Jesus told us to pray on the time of it's happening. Then again He tells us, except those days be shortened there should no flesh be saved, Leaving us a window to shorten the days through our prayers. Christians can actually through their prayers alter certain things according to scripture.

If you study the life of Hezekiah the king in 2 Kgs 20, you will see that he was able to change the plans of God concerning his life when he prayed, and God had to add more 15 years to his life. In other words he delayed his death for 15 additional years.

Christians are referred to as the salt of the earth, thus we can preserve the earth, through our prayers, we can alter things because they don't suit us.

So there is no hula baloo about what the post is trying to do. It is a wake up call to us Christians to pray against a looming war between U.S and Iran which might spread and cause catastrophe. Thanks.
