dayokanu: Do you think Sturridge has been effective? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by dayokanu(m): 3:37pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
nateevs: Sturridge offers more than Torres picking the ball from deep and running at the Fulham defence Torres cant do this as well as Sturridge |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:42pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
dayokanu: Except contrary to what you are trying to paint, Sturrige has not done that all game. Instead, he's picked out the more flamboyant option - which often ends up rubbish - than a simple one which many times, would have been more effective. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by dayokanu(m): 3:46pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
nateevs: You mean when an attacking move breaks down everytime this guy touches the ball except for the one that bounced off him. We should ask is he the first person to do that? Even he isnt the first striker to be in such horrible form lasting about 2yrs now Before the last world cup |

Stockdale saves a deft Drogba header |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by dayokanu(m): 3:49pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
nateevs: I feel it should be either Drogba or Torres. They both have similar instincts and would occupy same spots in the field, Make similar runs and end up having a null effect Any form of creativity now must come from Mata alone cos Malouda cant really offer much in that aspect |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by dayokanu(m): 3:51pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
Drogba freekick stopped bravely by Stockdale. Drogba pulled more saves and was more of an attacking threat in 15mins than Torres(His first half shot) in 90mins |

Rubbish performance. . . UTD trashed these mofo's aat home. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:53pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
dayokanu: Ok. I see how you mention this but failed to mention that Drogba had a one on one off a long pass from Luiz and literally passed it to Stockdale. One on One. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by dayokanu(m): 3:55pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
^^ Ok Drogba had a one on one with Stockdale from a long Luiz pass and he passes back to the keeper |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:57pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
dayokanu: Analysis for a different day. Today, Sturridge was at an all time low. Perhaps a result of believing his own hype. Taking useless shots when a pass will suffice, trying to force a dribble, touching the ball unnecessarily when a simple touch and move will do. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:58pm On Dec 26, 2011 |
dayokanu: Now that's objectivity. |

6 important dropped in just over one week of football. Second time in a row Cech stretches for a ball travelling across goal and never reaches there before the attacker. Where is the dude who wanted Lampard is place of Ramires? Suddenly it's looks like every time Ramires plays instead of Lamps, our midfield bites better. |

So we are bidding for Lucas Moura. Now that's the sort of signing I want to hear about. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by Ibime(m): 11:37pm On Dec 27, 2011 |
Tim Vickery wont have a good word said about Lucas Moura. Calls him the Brazilian Theo Walcott. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by chamotex(m): 11:40pm On Dec 27, 2011 |
Is he for now or for the future? Chelsea could kill is career |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 11:44pm On Dec 27, 2011 |
chamotex: I take it you meant "his" right? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 11:45pm On Dec 27, 2011 |
Ibime: To be fair to Tim, there are elements of Lucas' game that are just like Walcott's. The only difference is at least Lucas really does have a football brain. |

Tinkerman is taking us down. What the hell? Utd squad is very useless right now yet they can spank small teams. A team with a 50mil striker can't even win simple games. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by MrTA(m): 5:59pm On Dec 29, 2011 |
BlueDiva: On the contrary, that should show you that the united "squad" is not useless. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by Nobody: 6:18pm On Dec 29, 2011 |
^^^ A team that has 11 first team players absent is as good as useless. I'm beginning to think EPL teams consider Utd superior when playing against them and put in half effort. How come Basel would take Utd to the cleaners and Arsenal can't even beat the same squad beaten by Basel? |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by coogar: 6:30pm On Dec 29, 2011 |
BlueDiva: that is because man utd take the premier league more seriously and alex ferguson has it locked down. united can have 11 first team players absent and still beat 80% of the teams in the league because the reserves have match-day experience lacking in the reserves of the other team. rafael/fabio have seen it all. smalling, jones, js park, carrick, welbeck, hernandez, gibson, berbatov are top dogs as well. do a comparison with other teams and you won't get the same performance. lukaku, mc eachran, etc don't have the same experience as their united counterparts. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by Nobody: 6:34pm On Dec 29, 2011 |
coogar: Explanation makes sense. We let our youngsters waste at Chelsea. |
