In my own honest opinion, I think this is the best way forward in Nigeria. When policies or changes are to be made, there should be healthy debates inviting representatives from all part of the sector.

As for Oshiomole, you are beginning to dull the gathering. . .do make you comot oo. Time time time! angry

ignorant when the government spends 1 billion a day for governance?

Many of these statistics are misleading. Which government are we talking about, that's spending 1 billion per day? Does it not include the unproductive civil servants we don't want them to sack en masse?  The civil servants who are agitating for increased pay and who we support?  The police and judicial system that are massively underfunded and not able to dispense the basic functions of government?  Does it not include the publi schools?  Should we cut down on all these to provide free petrol? The wastes people are talking about are peanuts compared to the subsidy(33%) and salaries (70% of 66% according to Sanusi)

Trust me there there were more debates and of more intensity during the SAP era . So this one doesn't make the subsidy matter to be better resolved, but a good start. But govt now just as at then continues to be insincere. Thats were the problem lies

No, infact according to falana, when last has SLS bought fuel into his car ?

the cost of governance in Nigeria is the highest in the WORLD.

Billions are spent on governance every day.

Medical health check up abroad ? Why ?

etc Nigerians have subsidies the politicans speanding and life style.

that money did not inculde the cost of civil servant, etc Just cost of governance

Why should sacking civil servants en masse be a solution? Everybody knows we spend hundreds of millions yearly paying ghost workers, why is government not addressing this?

Does government need all the Special Advisers, Personal Assistants and all the accompanying secretaries and staff? Do we need all the state ministries we have and all the accompanying staff? Do we need all the number of people we take abroad on government delegation plus the accompanying estacode?

Government needs to be sincere and cut all forms of wastes at FG and state levels. Then we can now start talking about subsidy removal
