werepeLeri: Shut up. I agree we had "major" improvements to the GSM sector after deregulation, but how is that relevant to subsidy removal? What is her poin, even mentioning that? |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by aljharem3: 11:19am On Dec 22, 2011 |
LeoMax: Would there be subsidy if refinaries are working ? The investors would NOT NEED SUBSIDIES PAID to them if they have there own refinary because the cost of refining 1 barrel of oil is far less than 5 dollars thus the profit made would make subsidy insignificant. Moreover it is the job of the government to build refinaries not Private investors. |

werepeLeri: That's were fact comes in. Ngozi gave out data on barrels of oil per person in different countries to buttress her point, I said no, a better metrics is the ratio of minimum wage to pms price in these same countries, and u will get a better picture. So the only person blabing is u. |

Quote of the Day by NLC "Why should be pay higher for imported product, when we should pay lower for locally produced product" God bless Mr Aremu |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by ochukoccna: 11:28am On Dec 22, 2011 |
The NLC chap-Aremu- while not gifted with oratory has pointed out the lapses in the 'facts' of GEJ's troops. Any 1 with the sense of a goose 'll know he has dismantled GEJ's troops facts&figures. |

Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Seun(m): 11:30am On Dec 22, 2011 |
SUbsidy is not an ideological issue. You should not subsidize middlemen, rent-seekers, and consumption. |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Mobinga: 11:31am On Dec 22, 2011 |
werepeLeri: You're an illiterate. Subsidy Removal is not the same as Deregulation. |

Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Ayoobscom(m): 11:31am On Dec 22, 2011 |
Removal will not solve any problem if will further compound dramas around cost ascertainment and price fixing for the barrels. Why can't Nigeria build refineries of her own and stop threatening the dangling pillars of peace of the nation. Why not? |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Nobody: 11:31am On Dec 22, 2011 |
werepeLeri:Lmao. . . .lets see what he got to say about how the poor benefits from these whole wahala. |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Seun(m): 11:33am On Dec 22, 2011 |
Sanusi is trying to defend his policies that have nothing to do with the mandate of the CBN. Investing in fertilizer factories, etc for development. But his point is that we shoul subsidize domestic production and domestic refining. |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Nobody: 11:33am On Dec 22, 2011 |
sanusi is right! |
Re: Removal Of Petroleum Subsidy: In Whose Interest? Live by Nobody: 11:33am On Dec 22, 2011 |
