This is becoming very embarassing. I no know wetin you dey take. grin. I think say na joke before. Who talk say Stephen Curry is better Lebron?Who? Did you just come up with this to increase your word count?

hey take am easy. steady986 is right. some where placing Steph ahead of james during those 2 seasons he won mvp and the season he led warriors to finals as their most potent scorer.

Those were the seasons before durant came to demote Steph to 2nd best player/scorer on the team.

But I can't blame those who say so.

james is a better player
but Steph is a much more dangerous dangerous player. Especially based on the setup of The warriors team.
Compared to James based on the set up of that Cavs team thru those years.

Steph is/was more dangerous, but James is/was better.

People can hate/downplay LBJ all they want na dem Sabi sha... That guy is an enigma, year 18, @36 still dropping insane numbers, hardly gets injured, rarely Load manages. But left to me I'll have taken Dame Lillard ahead of Doncic from the west.

The thing is Lebron can play the game of basketball but he is not the MVP of this regular season. That is my stand on the issue. As for between Dame and Doncic, Dame is obviously leading his team to a better record than Doncic and the media and players recognized this. The issue is by the rules of the all star starter selection, Doncic ranked (2) in fan votes while Dame was (3) and fan votes represents 50% of the tally as well as being the tiebreaker. So even though him and Dame averaged 2.5 points, Doncic had to get the nod for ranking higher in the fan votes.

I know I just said for me personally I'll take Dame over doncic. Between when the fans vote is always a popularity contest.. It's all Good dosent take away anything from Dames greatness.... Doncic himself admitted to dame deserving the starting spot. On lebrons mvp chances calm down they still have so many games to go, diff factors can still alter where the pendulum swings, neither me nor you determines who the mvp is, we all know those who decide and if they deem LeBron fit for the MVP na you Wan strip am off am?

The refs ruined it. How was that an offensive foul? Present day game is too soft.

I am actually defending Dame by explaining that he was not "cheated" of the starting role. The technicalities ruled him out. Both the players and media voted him number 2 which means both wanted him to be a starter. As for Lebron, why did they not wait for pendulum to swing or for many games to go when they started saying it for Lebron? It is because they wanted to create that narrative and justify it months after but AD going down has shattered their plans.
Re: The NBA Begins by Android17: 5:38am On Feb 22
Harden flopped and the refs bought it but they were giving Kawhi the same treatment in 2019 finals (he was not flopping but they did not let anyone guard him well) so I guess it is fair game.

for this season, so far. I would give it to between Embild and lebron.
Lebron is slightly ahead to me though.

Doncic ahead of Lillard anytime any day.
Does more of everything else besides scoring than Lillard. including putting his body on the line.

They are waiving Quin Cook to get another all star player on the roster but SC with Draymond, Wiggins and Oubre and a G-league roster should finish top 3 seed in the west or be a fraud.

This thread has been a blessing to me in every way possible. Kept me busy, kept me happy and kept me company through med school. NL was the first tab I open almost every morning in the last like 5/6yrs because I know this thread would help me get through the day even when my Warriors would lose by 35. Don't get me started on playoffs when I'm always writing exams. I remember rushing my papers to catch the Warriors finals vs Cavs only for Iguodala to get blocked by James. Good times sha. Thank you guys for helping me in ways you can't imagine. The semi-depressed times, everything. Thank you guys from Ersan (I have to mention him for obvious reasons grin) to everyone one. I don't want to skip anyone's name. Thank you Guys.

I was inducted yesterday and you guys were part of the journey. Still confused about what next to do cos it's Nigeria but thank you Guys. Thank you so much. cool

I agree. Bam Adebayo too deserves it. But I think they used those technicalities of fan, media and player ranks as well as coaches to come up with the reserves.

Leave all those "dame should be a starter over doncic" people. Talking about the don like he is a scrub. A 3rd year developing player vs a man supposedly in his prime. Let dame's team be totally disrupted by covid-19 and injuries like the mavs, and let's see where in the standings he'll be. And this whole clutch narrative is something i'm fed up off. Dame would be clutch because he finds himself in the most clutch situations. Which when you think about it, is a testament to how he sucks for 3 quarters then supposedly comes alive in the 4th quarter. You won't need any late game heroics if you blow a team out in the first three quarters. It's that simple. I'll like to see the amount of clutch situation giannis/curry were in during their MVP seasons. Heck, even mavs themselves last season where they were blowing teams off the court on their way to having the highest offensive rating ever. How many clutch situations were they in?
People just want to hate on the don because he is white. Subliminal racism at it's finest.
And the fact that Łuka admitted that dame should start ahead of him is no argument. In short, that speaks well for him as someone who was raised right and raised with class. You don't tooth your own horn. Let others do it for you. No watch SAS, max, and shannon serenade over this performance tomorrow like they were just not hating on the baby goat the past week.

There is no reason the Celtics should have 2 players in the all stars game. I can understand if your team if the 1 seed and you need to compensate them(the only reason why Simmons should be above sabonis). But 6th seed? Nah. Only one player should have made it and i would have dropped tatum based on playing time. Brown carried that team when he was out.
It's just the usual hate on European players. It's clear as day. Don't even bring on the " but vucevic is European, and they voted him in" argument! Why can't they both be on the team? Why would you need to swap out one for the other if they are both playing outstanding basketball?

grin grin grin My gee you've got some valid points but don't bring that injury narative abeg the trail blazers are one of the biggest team with ill luck as regards injuries, nurkic was injured for a big while, zack collins waa injured like forever rodney hood too same fate this are key players for the team in recent years, tilt it to this season CJ McCollum has been injured since the start of the season same with nurkic again but dames still carrying the team on his back, Omo i don't give a Bleep bout what SAS says honestly cos that one no get sense, if you not black n american he'll always go against you the "subliminal racism " is rife with the fool so it's plain stupid taking him serious. Doncic is great no doubt way better than all those young Americans they keep throwing their names up against him... Tatum, trae young, Williamson etc. In all dame has been better this season but fans voting is obviously a poularity contest that asides dame is also in a small market which worked against him but regardless doesn't diminish his greatness in any form.... I love Doncic bruh u can't imagine how much, was so gutted last season when they went down to the clips. Chai just imagine this europeans teaming up on same team Luka, giannis n Jokic. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
