This is to further increase the suffering of the masses.

Where is the effect of the Arab awakening that started in Tunisia in Nigeria?

Who will lead the struggle, where is the SNG?

I just asked a friend from Romania and another from India. They buy $1.65 and $1.8 per litre of fuel respectively.
I think it is long overdue.

Let him face his calling. He is a snake.

Also, Americans don't have to run generators all day and night just for basic comfort. And the American government didn't raise fuel prices just to fund a bloated and corrupt government.

Indeed. The price of fuel price is the USA is $1.00/L. For anyone interested to know typical pump price for most nations of the world, the info is below. Just scroll down to the table.

Every sincere Nigerian knows that subsidy removal or deregulation of the down stream sector isn't good but the sincerity of our megalomaniac leaders towards this wonderful project.

I only hope this not a sneaky IMF agenda against African(sub-Saharan) economies as they were fully responsible for pushing for removal of oil subsidy across all West African economies from 2012, hmmm, Ghana just did with their fuel now N184.

I'll give you $1billion if you can provide one shred of evidence that Buhari is in any way involved with Boko Haram.

When are you people going to stop swallowing PDP lies? They managed to deceive the gullible masses that Jonathan was the only safe choice and look at where that has landed us. If we had voted for anybody else (and not necessarily Buhari), we would have been heading in a completely different direction by now.

Sadly, we are stuck with Jonathan and the PDP for at least the next three years and we will all have to pay for the st.upid choice that most of us (but not me) made back in April. The future looks very bleak.

This is the price as at Thursday so by tomorrow we should get an updated price.

Re: Breaking News: Fuel Subsidy Removed by Nobody: 4:09pm On Jan 01, 2012
GOODLUCK AZEKIWE EBELE JONATHAN IS THE REAL ENEMY OF NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS AND NOT THE SUPPOSED BOKO HARAM.

With the purported removal of the Oil Subsidy it is now evident that Nigerian supposed president is the REAL Enemy Nigerians Have.

A country where a President will Intentionally introduce Hardship to the Populace on a New Year. A day meant to be a joyous moment for every household irrespective of ethnic, religious or social background.

GEJ and his government are making Nigerians believe the removal is to enable Nigeria stay off Economy crush, but yet this same man and his government have been on continuous financial waste.

He tells Nigerians to start eating cassava bread as it is cheaper but yet this man has budgeted a whooping N1billion just for FOOD for himself and his Vice.

Where in the world except GEJ's government will a whooping N300million be budgeted for dinner sets alone for a year? Yet millions of families go to bed without eating dinner.

He is budgeting N240million for 2 bullet proof cars for himself and his vice, yet millions of Nigerians are defenseless and helpless when face with security issues.

A man who went to pay a visit to victims of the bomb blast of the 25th of December after 6 days of the event (yet within the same Abuja) clearly shows Jonathan doesn't value the lives of his citizens, he is just after the huge resources in the Nations treasury.

They say some 'cabals' are enriching themselves by benefiting from the subsidy. GEJ's government is the worse cabal whereby people pay taxes and still suffer.

Nigerian youths STAND UP NOW AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT! The removal of fuel subsidy will NEVER improve your lives, what have they done with the previous funds in the past? Year in year out they pass billions of nairas to various ministries and parastatals and yet there haven't been any social or economic development of any sort.

From hospital bills, house rent, transportation, food, etc the prices of everything will skyrocket.
Re: Breaking News: Fuel Subsidy Removed by Nobody: 4:11pm On Jan 01, 2012
Nigerian f00ls. cheesy

Una still dey here dey debate the difference between US oil prices and Nigeria's fuel prices? Una nor try.
I thought by now you will all be moving towards Aso villa to oust Jonathan?

Silly Nigerians. All talk no action. Smh. sad
Re: Breaking News: Fuel Subsidy Removed by unrattled: 4:12pm On Jan 01, 2012
How much is common 150/Liter wey una just dey complain? Ghanians are buying for  189/Liter which is by far grater than Nigerians.

Nigerians are ingrates!! When GEJ started building roads, schools and hospitals with the subsidy money, thesame people shouting on this thread will be the first to enjouy.

Abegi make we hear sontin!!! If you cant afford it, why not park your car? Abi na by force say you must use gen in the house? Bunch'a losers!!!

Am sure you must live in the bush to post this kind of reply.

Let me give you a little insight.
I run a string of internet cafes, each of my offices use a minimum of 25 litres of petrol daily (6KVA Gen Set).

Now, do your maths and tell me how much that will cost me daily and monthly.

BTW your Ghana analogy is rubbish. Ghana enjoys stable power supply.

With stable power supply
I will boil my water with boiling ring, hot plate or electric cooker,
I will blend my food and ingredients with my blender,
I will run my A/C, refrigerator and TV
I will cook my food with Electric stove, cooker or hot plate
I will microwave my snacks etc
I will use an electric pot to deep fry my plantain, fish and meat etc
I will run my office without spending a dime on petrol

need I continue?

Catch my drift?
With stable power, I don't need to spend a fortune on kerosine or even buy gas or go for firewood.
With stable power I don't need to buy a drop of petrol to run a business. I would only need petrol for my car. My car takes 60L and that will last me some 3-4 days.

So my duty will be to ensure I pay my electricity bills. Now  if I have a pre-paid meter, I'd choose what to use and when to use it.

Result: I save big and I lead a better quality life and I complain less and the wealth spreads around and the citizens are happier.

Now contrast that with a situation without stable power supply.
Go figure.

In era of corruption, where corruption is on the alarming increase, I don't expect the money to be channelled towards anything meaningful. This government is the most corrupt and deceitful in the history of Nigeria. I don't trust this govt and I don't believe in it. It's made up of people without honour and moral value. Must we pay a competitive price (market price) for the product we're producing? I don't think the price is as high as we hear now in other countries that produce oil, whether their economic system is socialism or capitalism. Where are the palliative measures? In the air.

Re: Breaking News: Fuel Subsidy Removed by DaRapture: 4:20pm On Jan 01, 2012
The US gas prices are set in gallons. 1Gallon is = to 3 3/4 Liters. The US average for gas/petro is about $3.30 right now. So that means that its only about 88 cents per Liter, which is like 88 Naira per liter.

You bloody civilian cowards and on line noise makers.

u are still here ranting as if Ngozi or GEJ is listening to u.

Instead of u to hit the streets like the Tunisians did last year Jan and the Egyptians, u are here shouting GEJ.

when the govts sees that u are cowards, anything would be given to u.

Rem ben bruce asked Ngozi that when will the suspense be over and what exact date will the deregulation start.

She said 'Mr president is still consulting and u'll be informed at the appropriate time.

NNPC MD said new price takes effect April 1, how then did April 1 changed to Jan1?

If we sit as cowards, more shitz would be given to us.

Lest hit the street now

I warned earlier that this regime is a replica of IBB's regime where IMF(anti-black racist) conditions are applied in a peculiar economy like Nigeria. Let us watch and see the out come. The attendant increase in crime is what I'm worried about.
