Mrschima, killz is right. it's a charm put on a woman by her husband to confirm her fidelity. If this woman engage in extra-marital affair, either she or the man dies, or something aweful happens to them.
I used to think it's a superstition, not until it happened to someone very close to me. Many people still dont believe it though.

@OP: lol don't feel sorry for me. Although I still believe that Valentine's Day is just a marketing ploy, it's still interesting to see how people act when this day comes rollin' by. I personally don't need this one day of the year to hear from someone that they love me or care about me. Overall, I don't have any lovey dovey plans for Valentine's Day but I do have "special" plans for that day wink
