Look at the fees that were setting records, and then you will understand what kind of moinmoin budget everybody else was operating on.

If 3 million pounds was British record in the mid 90s, it clearly shows who the dominant force in the transfer market was at the time.

Jaap Stam's transfer was a world record.

Ferdinand was a UK record.

How did you want other clubs to cope, when you were constantly breaking transfer records?

The only way for other clubs to try and cope was to spend too, but nobody else could really keep up.

Leeds tried it and were relegated in 2 years. Arsenal tried for a while, until Abramovic came and upped the Ante.

That led to almost a decade of barrenness for the North London side, and the only clubs that could actually challenge Manyoo's hegemony are the only two clubs that have outspent Manyoo in the history of the league.
