Make Mourinho no start ibra and Rooney together, because that attack will be slow as f'ck, which begs the question...

Which position will fit rooney in this team that will cause less damage?
grin
Mou has an answer to your begging question.

”Let me start with one point. 34 is Zlatan's age and 18 is Marcus Rashford’s age,”

“34 plus 18 divided by two is the perfect age for a football player.

"So our two strikers, they are exactly in the perfect age because 18 is not the perfect age and 34 is not

"So I think they can be an amazing complement for each other with their qualities."

I can explain some of the cusses to you

"dindindrin" - Foool,

"amukunmeko" - Someone so foolish that he drinks his akamu with his mucus

"oponu" - Foolishh person like airmark

Why would anyone still be comparing Germany with England unless that person is a masochist. 50yrs of consistent EPL inspired England failure while Germany inspired by their Bundesliga players are making their 6th consecutive semi finals, the last time Engerland went that far was 20yrs ago

We've been through this before. England NT is useless but their players dont constitute the bulk of total EPL players. Some EPL players are amongst those doing great for the semi-finalists. The Three Lions are just cursed, dunno why.

The English NT is cursed because they have 100% EPL players

4 of the starting 11 for the English NT were in the PFA 11, More than any other team the English NT is the closest representative to the EPL and their uselessness can be traced to the EPL

There is no rational way you would take credit for EPL and refuse to take credit for the English NT they go hand in hand

“But I have one characteristic, for example this Euro is proving that I’m right. By the defensive point of view, at the moment, everybody is trying to defend better,” he said.

“The lines are much more compact, the central area is much more occupied, you give space to the opponents down the sides, not in a central area. You compact lines in the short period of space, and these are characteristics that, in my point of view, are very, very important to a team. Defending well is very, very important.

“A football team is everything, every moment of the game, every principle, every sub-principle you have to work, and I work a lot to have my team prepared for every possible situation.”

“Yes we want to play different to the last season. Mr Van Gaal is absolutely a top manager, his philosophy is very clear, my philosophy is different. It’s not better, it’s different.

“I’m more vertical, I’m more intense, I like ball possession that has a way to create a chance. I don’t like ball possession just to keep statistical possession of the ball and be afraid of playing a game of transitions.

“Transitions will always come during the game, I’m not afraid of losing the ball, I’m not afraid of risk.”

The last time you finished out of the top 4, you signed Di Maria, what happened?

Last season I was here when you guys were moaning about Depay, Schneiderlin, Blind, Darmian, Schweini, infact you cried your hearts out about all your signings except Martial. Martial that Giroud is even better than (SMH furiously). Soon what we would be seeing here would be...

Mourinho na bastard, #MouOut
How does this change the fact you finished trophy-less & on another trophy-less span?

He meant Rooney was shitty as a midfielder. He should either be scoring goals or clapping for those who do. cheesy

If you had common sense, you would know that someone shitty as a midfielder cannot play as number 10.

Mourinho meant the midfield is too small for Rooney.

Why will a world class forward be pushed to the midfield so that 18-year old Rashford can be the top striker?

Please accept that Rooney's days are gone so we can avoid a 10-page debate.

Same way Drogba gave way to Diego Costa. Henry gave way to Adebayo. World class doesn't mean you have to play till 90 years.

Nihilist:

Elampiro just needs to understand that Rooney's star has faded.

I remember Carragher saying something about Rooney. This guy has been playing football at the very highest level for the past 12 years. Even though his birth certificate says 30, he has the body of a 35 year old man. When you consider that he has had no real serious injury during his career and factor in his lack of fastidiousness when it comes to diet, it's no surprise that his body can no longer perform at the required level

The issue here is not whether his star has faded. The issue is that Mourinho said Rooney will be more useful to him in crowded zone than less crowded midfield.

GBR1:

Why did you claim he needs to reinvent himself in the forward positions if he's world class? World class players don't need to do anything like that.

Why did Rooney want to play in midfield instead of as forward? You claim it's easier to play in midfield, right? That means Rooney chose to play where it's easier according to you. So why does Rooney find it harder to play as a forward if he's world class?

Your entire logic is in a loop and you have put yourself in a fix. You've been saying nonsense for a long time.

Record books say Rooney is a world class forward.

He said I used to claim Rooney is a world class centre forward. So why am I suggesting he should reinvent himself. So I reminded him of the record books. Lol

If it's 4-3-3 then I don't see the position Rooney is best for as @ current players.

- - - - - - - - - de Gea - - - - - - - -
Valencia - Smalling - Jones - Shaw
- Morgan - - Carrick - - Hererra -
Henrikh - - Ibrahimovic - - Martial

Form dependent tho but this is about the best I can think of
This is also feasible. A lot points to the 4-3-3 formation already, let's hope it works.

With a Defence capable of keeping a high line & playing closer to the midfielders make an interesting attacking unit upfront.

Watching Mourinho's press conference today, I can conclude that Mourinho has always dreamed of Coaching This club. Infact, from all he said and his expressions, i think he has been keeping tabs on the club since SAF retired. Noting down all the issues we are facing with the team, awaiting the day he would be employed to unleash all his strategies and solutions. He's got passion for the club and he's crazily happy to be a coach of manchester united. MUFC seems like his Dream Club. I just stepped up my respect for him, the guy is good. He's a good manager and knows its onion and where it bites.

I believe he'll do well with the club and i like his strict nature. Rooney can chop the bench for all i care. We now have a coach who is ready to take decisions without feeling remorse or being sentimental about it.

This season will be an interesting one to watch. Not gonna miss any match of the top 5 clubs.

José Mourinho has persuaded Wayne Rooney to abandon plans to reinvent himself as a midfielder and revealed that Manchester United have accelerated their attempts to sign his fourth major target, thought to be Paul Pogba.

And Chief executive, Ed Woodward has already held face-to-face talks with the player’s representatives.

Rooney has already had a two-hour meeting with Mourinho and will now revert to playing in attack, with Mourinho making it clear he does not agree with Van Gaal or Roy Hodgson, that a player who will be 31 in October should play as a midfielder.

As Woodward met Mino Raiola, agent to Pogba and Mkhitaryan – primarily to finalise the Armenian’s salary – in Monaco, Mourinho also made it clear he would not emulate Van Gaal’s habit of targeting players who could operate in different roles.

Just saw this now. It is not different from what I said about the issue.

MOURINHO DEFENDS YOUTH RECORD
“I have promoted 49 youth players from Academies. If you want, I can give you that list. Two factors that are very important on these records, because sometimes you promote because you don’t have another chance or so many injuries, you have to bring them in. The second factor is when you are not playing for big targets then it is easier to bring them up. My record of injuries is very, very low. I never promote players because of a need – I do it because of conviction."

Looking across Europe...one finds that world class forwards are played where they belong...to strike. But our dear Rooney is one minute a world class forward in brother dayos book n at other times a midfield maestro in the mould of the scholes n pirlos of this world. A world class forward that can't even be left to play there

Rooney's sharpness in front of goal and concentration has dipped in recent years. At times he's confused with what to do with the ball when in a position he's supposed to make quick decisions, losing possession dangerously. Maybe this is due to LVG or Moye's straight-jacket tactics, I don't know.

However he needs to increase his sharpness to remain competitive and survive. The other day he had to be pushed so the ball could deflect off him into the net.

Rooney is about to b disgraced from the team. all things point to it that this is probably his last season with utd.
1. his testimonial match has been arranged.

2. Jose said he doesn't fancy players who tend to be multifunctional. he likes specialists. that means Rooney should go back to his support strike role.m where we all know his physical attributes can't allow again grin

3. Jose will expect Rooney to play his original role and when he is shyte he would have a justifiable reason to bench him for long periods. and if results keep getting better in those periods, God epp Rooney.

4. Rooney sitting on d bench for long periods will see the writing on d wall and subsequently go to USA or China.

5. Ans Jose managed happily ever after

Everybody accepts this except Rooney. Now i can say he's finished as a striker considering he's going to be fighting for places unlike in LVG's tenure where he would be made to start ahead of better players and play all game while setting the team back. Once mourinho tries him in the 10 n 9 positions and he fails to deliver...he should start preparing to not only be benched but plan his transfer once again and this time...he'll be gladly booted out
